Summary: Very basic and light camera, perfect for putting in your pocket and taking family snaps. Uses an XD memory card (or micro-SD), which is why I bought it, but may not fit your needs. Other reviewers said it takes "out of focus" photos. This is incorrect. If you just mash on the shutter, yes, the photo will probably be out of focus. But if you pre-focus, by pressing the shutter halfway until you hear the beep, (as most digital cameras instruct), the photos come out fine.
Summary: I wanted a digital camera around a 100 dollars. And I am fully satisfied with this one. A lot has been said about the picture quality and lighting and BLA BLA... but if you know how to use the options, it takes really good pictures. Besides.. its a 100$ camera!! Not a professional HD camcorder... The VIDEO quality can be turned up to an incredible quality, and with the 2gig card maxes out at under 20 min of video. Nice if you want to make home videos in good quality.
Summary: I bought this camera to replace my old one for a concert i was going too.it takes pretty good pictures in the daylight but in a dark arena the pictures turn out grainy no matter what settings you use.overall its a pretty good camera.
I love this camera, no matter what the others said...

Summary: I happened upon this camera purely by accident at a local store as I has planned to purchase a different brand camera. The other brand was the same price but 10 megapixels versus this one's 12 and had fewer features. One of the reviewers commented on the lack of a beach setting, being in Maine this is less of a concern but I was impressed by the wide range of other point and shoot selections as well as the ability to choose from seven different camera speeds.
Summary: This is a very nice camera-especially for under $90. One thing I failed to check before purchasing is the various scene modes. Unfortunately, living in Florida requires a mode for Beach scenes, and this doesn't appear to have one-but it does have many others. The display is quite good and compares well to the Canon A590IS. The on-screen menu is good-fairly intuitive.
