A Good Average Camera
15 September 2013
Summary: I bought this camera back in 2008. Still have this camera now that it is going to the ending of 2013. I agree with every reviewer that has said that this camera runs through batteries quickly. It does. I always keep extra on hand. The camera takes AA batteries so pretty easy to find.
Summary: I bought this camera for my daughter as the price was right and an upgrade from what she was using. The item was packaged in a factory refurb box and came with all the paper work and even 2 sets of batteries.
Summary: I've owned this camera for about three years, and I've figured out ways around some of its most irritating quirks. Still, I regret buying it. - Battery life can be solved by using lithium batteries and turning down the screen brightness when you have a longer time between shots.
Summary: I bought this camera from amazon (sold by J&R) because the offer was the best in the category. Good Points: - 5x Optical Zoom (4x Actual Optical + 1x Digital Zoom) - The Guide and Scene mode are designed well to give an regular user the best pictures. The outcome of these pictures are crisp and of...
Summary: Three stars is generous for this camera and deserved only for its portability and price. I took the FE-310 to my 30-year reunion, and it was the only disappointment of the evening. In low light, it took only mediocre photos.
Summary: I have had the Olympus FE-310 camera for about one month. The camera takes great pictures and is easy to operate. This camera seems pretty good overall. There are a few things that I wish I had known before I made this purchase however. 1. The 2 AA batteries do not last very long.
Summary: Personally, I like the camera because it yields good basic photos with little effort and its cheap. The acquiring focus lock in low contrast/low light conditions issue does not bother me much at all, as I have a DSLR if I need to do that kind of shooting. The battery problem is another matter.
Pros: Good basic photos Easy to learn & use (Did not need manual) Buttons well laid out. (Simplistic) Digital image stabilization (DIS) mode works Macro modes are useful & can be used with DIS Has fill flash mode & it works.
Cons: Acquiring focus lock in low contrast or low light conditions is extremely poor even when not zoomed. When zoomed, it is a challenge even though the ambient light may appear adequate. There is a battery issue. After much testing with 4 sets of brand named batteries (2 sets each of alkaline and NIM...
Summary: I purchased this digital in March. My 2nd Olympus, but this time around I wanted something I could slip into a jacket pocket rather than have around my neck all day.The price was great, 8 mega, the controls weren't to small for my sausage fingers, and it takes a darn nice picture.
