Summary: I purchased this for my 15 year old daughter. She uses it all of the time with her friends and she loves it. It has been dropped a few times already, but everything still works great. This camera meets all of her needs
Summary: Got this for my granddaughter's sixteenth birthday present. She was delighted especially since the camera was pink. She has been enjoying and loving it. The only thing that I was disappointed with was that the memory card was different and didn't fit into the photo printer I have.
Summary: Here we are at a point where you can buy a major name brand digital camera for a dirt cheap price. Sure it has some compromises, but overall it takes a good picture in conditions most people use a camera for.
Pros: Compact size, large screen, flexible settings with over-rides possible, good macro modes, respectable auto-focus, MicroSD to XD adapter( included) overcomes the issues with XD cards. Does have panorama mode. Unlike many Olympus cameras, this one DOES remember previous settings - at least it does ...
Cons: Poor overall low light performance due to video noise, useless video option due to very short time and no audio, lackluster IS in lower light situations. In trying to make this camera idiot proof, they've made it frustrating for a knowledgeable user to find the right settings.
Summary: Overall the best camera that we have ever owned. At times you can tell its a fairly entry level point and click, with its oh so slightly cheap feeling, but for the money, you absolutely cant go wrong.
Pros: Love the picture quality, ease of use, the lcd is awesome.
Cons: Mid lighting causes me focus problems at times.
Summary: fat vrs fat32? This camera's instructions seem to indicate that 2G is max memory. Thats still 550 twelve megapixel shots for about $10 more.
Pros: A very good deal on a quality camera. My old camera eats batteries but this one is efficient. Very compact, nice looking, easy to use.
Cons: doesn't have video out. Not a necessity but i use this feature on my other cameras to sit back and evaluate shots on my tv. It's not a high-end feature so I forgot to check for it when i purchased.
Summary: I have to laugh at those that give this cam a poor rating, because what do you expect for this price? This especially counts for the review by the guy who bought it as a cheap gift and expected it to perform miracles - GIVE ME A BREAK, PAL. I'm glad he's not MY friend.
Pros: Super light, super easy to use. Menu system one of the best I've seen as it has nice friendly icons with on-screen use. Battery door is spring-loaded (very cool). You'll be up and running in minutes. Color representation is spot-on. Quiet operation.
Cons: Shutter button not round. Typical to this price range, it only likes sunny outdoor shots. Typical to point-and-shoot Olympus brand, the best shooting modes are DIS and Sport, all others are worthless.
Summary: I sell on Ebay and I needed something that would do the job and this camera is a nice little camera for that. And it's came in handy for other situations too. With the updated technology, this is probably not for the real professional, but for the one who needs easy pictures to be taken and for more...
Excerpt: ~ This Camera ~ Well I have this camera but mine is slightly different on the front. ~ Appearance ~ A lovely looking camera. My Favourite part of the appearance is the fact it is a shimmery pink! On the front of mine, it says OLYMPUS then with two very small holes next to it.
Pros: Anti - Shake, Lots Of Settings, 12 Megapixel, Shimmery Pink ! Easy To Use !
