Excerpt: The camera comes with everything you need to get started and a lot of electronic stores have sales running where you can even get an XD card with purchase. Initially it has the USB cord and all the manuals you need to take great pictures, but if you get it while they're doing a sale and you get the XD card it's even better. An XD card starts at about $19 and they're nice to keep in all the time.
Excerpt: This camera really gives you great bang for the buck. You get many settings and features for less money than the other brands, and the quality is just as good. I really love my camera because its small and i can carry it anywhere with me in my pocket if I wish to. I would like the recovery time to be a tad faster, but that is something that I can easily live with. Overall, a great deal!
Excerpt: I bought my Olympus Digital camera for Christmas last year with a gift card from my boss. I've used it over and over for pictures of my grandchildren and at a camp that I volunteer at each summer. It has been great!!! The picture quality is great and so easy to use. Even my 5 year old granddaugter has used it with no problem other than getting pictures of grass and only edges of people. Ha!!! I highly recommend this camera.
Summary: Chose Olympus because of experiences with their SLRs years ago. Great little camera - added a 2G picture card to eliminate having to download too often. Easy to operate, only drawback is slow shutter time. Excellent pictures even at lowest quality setting. Got through Christmas to New Year without having to recharge battery, a plus - has a bulky camera with 4 AA batteries prior to this.
Summary: I love this little camera. This is the second one I've owned. The first one I had for about a year before I dropped in the sand on the beach. The lense wouldn't open and it was going to cost more to repair it than I paid for it so I bought another one off Ebay. My husband later took the old one apart and blew the sand out and now it's good as new! I would recommend this camera for average people taking pictures on a budget!!!
Summary: Buy a few days ago an Olympus FE-210 7.1 Megapixel, at a good price. has its positive and negative. Let's start with the positive. very good resolution in its beautiful clear photos. Compact size ideal for travelers, lcd size 2.5 very clear. easy to use and very good guide for people with little knowledge. Now it's up to the negative things, but it records video without audio, the battery (AA) lasts a very short .
Summary: I have already owned 2 of these models (1 is mine and other is wife's) The FE-210 is very user friendly with pre-established scene menus. At the same time the unit in my opinion takes very high resolution images. And really and truly, isn't the resolution of imaging what it's all about? I purchased this 3rd FE-210 used and it has a defective (broken) rear LCD display.
Summary: I like an Olympus camera. Our old one broke, finally, and we needed a functional camera. The Olympus is an easy camera to use. This one I purchased did not come with an owners manual but figuring out its basic operation was quite simple. I just recently had an oportunity to use a different brand and it, frankly, was nice to get back to the Olympus. The picture quality is excellent and I especially like the clarity of the LCD viewing screen.
