Excerpt: My olympus E-510 is a great camera, I have taken more than a 1000 pictures with my 510 and I have have them printed to 16x20 and I have pictures all over my walls. The color is beautiful they are sharp as a tack. The 2 lens kit costs about $750.00. Its a great deal for anyone just starting in photography.
Excerpt: I am pleased with the Olympus Evolt E-510; it's a camera that I can grow with, as my skills progress. The weight is perfect (not too heavy) as well as the grooves for holding it. The stabilizer is excellent and I'm taking the best photos of my life. This camera is worth every penny.
Excerpt: I have had previous DSLR cameras and wanted to get into a higher quality version. The Olympus e-510 is IT! There are more menus than I can count which made for a steep learning curve, but the photos are worth the time spent learning. I love this camera. Perfect fit for my hands. 10MegaPixel, good optical zoom.
Takes beautiful photos w/ both beginner and advanced settings

Excerpt: This camera was purchased more for my husband than for me. I was shy about such a complicated piece of equipment. In reality, though, it turned out to be such a GREAT camera that I wanted all our photos taken with it. The quality is truly outstanding and the automatic settings make it simple for the beginner. My husband uses a lot of the special features for sporting events, etc. I may read that manual someday.....
Excerpt: I have owned the Olympus E-510 with the two kit lenses for about a year and a half. I have taken close to 1000 shots with it. It takes great photos and so-so photos. It really depends on you. Straight out of the box it takes pretty good shots. With a little knowledge and some tweaking it takes great shots. One suggestion read and learn.
