The Olympus EVOLT E-410, a subtly upgraded version of its predecessor, is a 10-megapixel digital SLR camera. It is definitely not a point-and-shoot camera. It is made for photographers who want a little more of doing just that, something versatile. Both novice and experienced photographers would love the Olympus EVOLT E-410 as it is made in their arena. Known to be very compact for a dSLR, the Olympus EVOLT E-410 includes a live view mode also known LCD preview function that allows you to compose shots on the LCD or the optical viewfinder and most likeable of all, it has a speedy system. With a 1 pound, 4.2-ounce heft (with the 28mm-to-84mm-equivalent lens), the Olympus EVOLT E-410 is considered to be quite solid. Some photographers did not appreciate its subpar autofocus exposure, and automatic white-balance performance. Olympus has also laid out poor choices for the default settings. A certain user noted that the the system is very clumsy with the prism clunking back and forth. For photographers who want better quality pictures and versatility for their shot, the Olympus EVOLT E-410 is the camera for them. Its handling is exactly the same, with only one button changing function. The Olympus E-410 shows less image noise than its previous models. For using the Olympus E-410, a backup battery is required as sometimes the original battery doesn’t perform up to the mark. The Olympus E-410 comes with a lightweight and compact double lens kit. Its menu interface design and control layout is like most entry-level dSLRs with a mode dial split between the scene, manual and semimanual exposure modes. The main attraction of the Olympus E-410 has always been its portability and it’s also certainly one of its greatest sales assets. It does share the honor of being the world’s smallest and lightest DSLR.
