It's simply NOT sharp. It's just not...

  • Summary: I REALLY wanted to like this camera but I simply cannot get over how soft the images are compared to my E-510. When I looked at the images coming out of the E-30 with the Zuiko 12-60mm SWD lens I knew something was definitely NOT right. The pictures looked like something was smeared on the lens or something. The hair on my dog's face wasn't nearly as sharp as it was coming from my E-510 with the same lens.

  • Excerpt: Although quite large including the battery hand grip it handles really well, superb design to hold and use. Also with the two batteries of the grip accessory you can shoot all day, I like the quick menu selection on the screen and the custom settings, purchased with the 12-60mm lens which is a great combination. I like the viewfinder, quite large for a 4/3rds body. Dust management and image steady in the body for use with any lens are good advantages.

Olympus E-30. Still not up there with the big boys?

  • Excerpt: "...front (or "Sub dial" as Olympus call it) is a little awkward to use and the Mode Dial is on the left side, whereas I like it to be on the right. As you aren't likely to use it without a lens attached, the weight is dependant on your choice of lens but the E-30 body is lighter then the Canon EOS 50D but heavier than the Nikon D90. The menus are easy to read and relatively easy to use, with most of the common functions being available on the ...

  • Excerpt: The E-30 is Olympus's own stepping-stone between the so-called "prosumer" models (what an awful word) and the E-3 professional SLR, being loosely comparable with the likes of the Canon EOS 50D, the Nikon D90 and the Sony Alpha A-350. It shares a lot of the E-3's features and has even overtaken the E-3 in terms of resolution, offering 12mp compared with the E-3's 10.

RUIDO

JULIO, quesabesde.com
13 March 2009
  • Summary: EN MI OPINION SE PRODUCE MUCHO RUIDO EN TODAS LAS CIRCUNSTANCIAS, LO QUE ME ESTRAÑA MUCHO YA QUE LA HE PROBADO Y COMPARADO CON LA E-520 Y ESTA ULTIMA PRODUCE MENOS RUIDO SIENDO UNA CAMARA ANTERIOR Y DE MENOR PRECIO. AGRADECERIA UNA OPINION Y O SOLUCION AL RESPECTO PORQUE POR LO DEMAS ME GUSTA MUCHO.
