Olympus E-3 Digital Camera Review

Buy-n-Shoot.com
17 April 2009
  • Conclusion: If you have had previous DSLR experience or you are enthusiastic and patient enough to take the time to learn, then the Olympus E-3 is a camera you should consider before making any final purchases. Dare not to conform and you may be well rewarded for that decision.

  • Conclusion: Olympus E3 digital reflex camera The past few years we have seen a lot of DSLRs from Olympus passing by but it took a long time before the successor to the E1 arrived. Apparently Olympus wanted to test a few things before surprising the professional photographer. And the new Olympus E-3 surely is surprising. It has become a beautiful camera that will appeal to many photographers.

  • Summary: E-3 is a great SLR and Olympus's best model to date. While it may not usurp the dominant forces of Canon and Nikon in this space, its combination of great features and good quality pictures make it a viable alternative for people after something a little different.
  • Pros: Fast focus, live view, dust reduction, great build, good images
  • Cons: Pictures are a little soft in some situations at high magnification, some competing models offer faster burst mode

Olympus E-3

  • Summary: A solidly-built, professional-quality DSLR for Four Thirds system enthusiasts.Olympus is targeting professional photographers and 'advanced enthusiasts' with its E-3 DSLR model, which replaces the four-year-old E-1, the world's first Four Thirds system DSLR. However, the promise of smaller, lighter cameras claimed for the Four Thirds system is not delivered in the E-3, which is one of the heaviest DSLR bodies in the under-$5000 category.

Olympus E-3 Review

LetsGoDigital
24 January 2013
