Excerpt: Purchased an EM-10 and needed a bag for the camera / lenses / accessories. Decided on this item because it was made by / for Olympus for the OM-D cameras. Really about the only good thing I can say about this bag is that I can use it to take my 9" iPad along. The latching mechanism is not positive. The bag is not padded. The configurability of the interior is substandard.
Excerpt: I just submitted a return merchandise authorization request. What a piece of junk. So much thought was put into the camera and so little thought into the bag. It's an insult to the camera's designers - the Olympus buyers and marketing team should be ashamed of themselves. The construction is a cotton that I would expect to see on an H&M college student cheapo packsack. It doesn't appear to be waterproof or even very resistant.
Summary: I have owned this camera about 1 month and now it is totally dead. when I turn it on ,nothing happens, so today at a cost of almost $70.00 (including the UPS discount) i shipped it back to Olympus. As i said this camera is less than 1 month old and already it is need of repair, at the least I should have received free return shipping, so at this point I'm not real happy!!
Excerpt: My EM-5 died after three and a half months of use. It developed horizontal purple bands in the EVF and LCD that were also present on photographs (?bad sensor). Hopefully this will be resolved by Olympus, but I had to use a backup camera on a recent vacation when this camera failed. Doubly sad because I have purchased multiple lenses for the camera, most recently the excellent 75 mm 1.8.
Pros: Easy to Use, Good in Low Light, Great Resolution, Large Clear LCD, Small / Compact
Summary: Dont buy this camera and waste your money. If you are buying a mirrorless, buy Canon EOS-M Mirrorless at 48k having an SLR sensor and superior image quality, Better lens, 18megapixels, faster and more..
Summary: I bought the OM-D after reading a couple of positive reviews online. I've been using it for a week and it's the worst camera I've ever used. They really should change its name to the Olympus OMG. Egronomics of the camera is absolutely appalling. It is nothing like the OM series film bodies. The kit 12-50mm lens simply balances horribly on the camera body.
