Excerpt: This is my 2nd EM5 body....I Actually sold my first one...but then I kept looking back a my EM5 photos and compared them to other cameras that I own and I realized that the Olympus EM5 photos really pop...color and sharpness is so true. I actually think the VI processor in the EM5 gives better out of the camera jpg's than my EM1 with a VII..
Pros: Easy to Use, Fast Shutter Speed, Good Battery Life, Great Resolution, Large Clear LCD
Excerpt: I am not a pro, aspiring to be, but I digress. I bought this as I have friends who are serious enthusiasts and thought that I'd join them. I shoot some portraits of my family and street photography. Eventually I will upgrade my lenses, I wish that for the money you're spending, they would've made the control layout like that of the Fujifilm cameras. I mean this costs almost as much so you'd think they would've done that; Wi-Fi would've been nice as well.
Pros: Easy to Use, Fast Shutter Speed, Good Battery Life, Great Resolution, Large Clear LCD, Small / Compact
Other reviews really did not prepare me for how easily this camera helps me take great pictures.

Summary: Other reviews really did not prepare me for how easily this camera takes great pictures. I'm still learning how to use the multitude of features, even though my previous camera was an Olympus E-500 (same menus, many similar features). But the OM-D E-M5 encourages me to try all sorts of shots I wouldn't have thought of attempting before. I think I will still be exploring the limits of this tool for a long time.
Excerpt: I've never had a camera with interchangeable lenses before, so there is a big learning curve. The pictures aren't as crisp and clear as the ones I've seen on an em10, but they do blow up really well, before they loose focus.
Pros: Fast Shutter Speed, Good Battery Life, Good in Low Light, Large Clear LCD, Small / Compact
Excerpt: I've used Olympus film OM cameras in the past, and wanted to try a digital SLR, but found them to be too cumbersome and heavy. After researching micro 4/3 systems, I decided on the Olympus OM-D E 5, and I couldn't be happier. It's lightweight, portable and takes great pics with relatively inexpensive lenses.
Excerpt: Another in a long line of very fine cameras. My first was an OM-1 which I still own! Quality wise, Olympus equipment has never let me down! Also, I appreciate the small size which means I can carry more equipment to a shoot. J.E.
Pros: Easy to Use, Great Resolution, Small / Compact
Excerpt: I really, really wanted to like this camera. I have an OM-1 from 1978 and the retro styling, size, and quality seemed to be just what I was looking for. But after a week with the camera and several hundred shots, I feel like this camera misses more than it hits for me. Disclosure: I am not a professional, and I have never used a DSLR or mirrorless camera before.
