Hot damn!

SpEd, Amazon
11 October 2013
  • Summary: As a replacement for my very old, much lamented (and malfunctioning) Yashica SLR, it has returned me to the real camera world. I have confront the conflict between my Ludite side and the understanding that automatic functions exceed my expectations. It makes taking picture (almost) too easy.

Worth every penny.

Amazon Customer, Amazon

  • Summary: I needed to replace an e-500 and couldnt afford the e-620. I had a very tight budget and this fit it. I wanted a more serious camera then the e-500 and liked the e-620. I ran across this and remembered how much I like the e-410 and 4** cameras.

great out-of-camera images

John Trent, Amazon
29 January 2010
  • Summary: Probably too soon to review, but I'm responding to an e-mail from Amazon to review my recent purchase. This is my fifth DSLR (Nikon D50, Olympus E-300, Samsung GX-1S, and Sigma SD14) and I have to say it has the best out-of-camera jpeg image quality of any camera I've owned to date.

Good Camera--a slight improvement over the E-410

Robert A. Marvin, Amazon
23 January 2010
  • Summary: I bought an E450 body from Cameta, as a replacement for an E410, which I accidentally damaged (the replacement body was cheaper than the price Olympus estimated for a repair). I thought I had no interest in the additional features.

Cheap... but you get what you pay for...

Irving, Amazon

  • Summary: I've stuck with this camera for a year now. I really wanted to like it. Unfortunately, in my experience, it really doesn't perform. Take a look at any photography forum for owners of this camera and you'll come across a repeated theme: 'is there a decent, fast prime lense for this camera?

Becky Inch, Cnet.co.uk

  • Summary: I bought this camera as my first step into the world of DSLR shooting. I love the small compact size and carried t around Paris for three days around my neck with no aching. Being female and only have little hands, the smaller buttons and layout doesn't really affect me however i can see how someone...

Doesn't take photos

lsworsdell "Dellboy", Amazon
14 January 2010
  • Summary: This camera takes fantastic photos, but only when it wants to. On automatic mode, you can click the button as many times as you want and 90% of the time it will simply not take a photo. Absolute hassel, I Hate this device.

  • Summary: Excellent entry level DSLR. I hadn't checked to see if it did Video recording, but it's not that important. The seller packaged it well and supplied all the goodies he included.

Brilliant camera but...

Donald, Amazon
14 January 2010
  • Summary: The camera and lens are very good value for the price I paid and makes an ideal step up from a compact digital. Unfortunately, it came in a box which should have been for the two lenses option and it included only a French language manual.
