Summary: I just love this camera. I don't believe that I have yet discovered all the tricks that it can do. It produces excellent pictures. It works great on the tripod, also. Will keep it for many years to come.
Summary: The camera works great but it came with the wrong USB cable. Luckily I have another Olympus camera so I was able to get the pictures into the computer. I use this camera for a research so I didn't bother sending it back. This rating is for the company because they do not provide detailed prodcut description.
Summary: Pro - Size. It is smaller than my first compact digital (a Canon A70), but much larger than the current line of compact digital cameras. - Battery. Uses easy to find AA batteries. So you are not tied to a battery recharger. This is especially nice when you travel. Unfortunately, very few of todays compact/point and shoot cameras use AA batteries. This is probably to be able to make the camera smaller. Con - Battery. The camera seems VERY fussy about the battery.
Summary: Got this Olympus camera to replace an old timer that developed an "anomoly" (took great indoor flash pictures, but all sunlight shots were compltely washed out). This little camera seems to be just what I was hoping for. I know the Olympus lenses are high quality, and am getting great indoor and outdoor prints. Great camera for the money.
Summary: This is a nice little camera - great for digital photo novices - and one of the nicer parts is that it takes regular batteries, so you don't have to mess around with a charger for some esoteric battery type - I passed it along to my friend who is a photo novice so she could take snaps of her grands.
Summary: Good for my intended purposes. I use it mainly for close-up shots. The video is good, but NO SOUND! (it does not have a built-in microphone). It uses two AA regular or rechargable batteries (saves money on batteries). The built-in memory is handy if you don't need a lot of memory (at any one given time), but it also has a memory slot for an Olympus XD-picture card (a negative, since it is proprietary).
Summary: Camera is very compact and lightweight. It has a good size LCD screen. It takes a good picture. Definitely a great camera for the money. However, it is not top of the line. Camera does not seem very rugged. It also takes a while to process the picture taken. LCD screen is a little fuzzy. If you are looking for something more than for taking casual pictures, you might want to look elsewhere.
Summary: we received the product in a timely manner. However, we noticed that the batteries that came with the camera did not work in the camera. So we purchased two new batteries, and planned to take the camera to our class a few days later to take pictures of everyone. The night before, we tried the camera, just to make sure it was up and ready. But, alas, it still did not work. We ended up having to take our more reliable personal camera for the task.
Summary: The camera I received was refurbished and although it has an inspection sticker on it, it looks used. The viewer is slightly scratched and is not the quality I expected however it does take good pictures. I think I definately overpaid though.
