A very good older camera
8 March 2014
Summary: I've had this camera since it was new. It's made like a tank, has many controls similar to DSLR cameras, and a large sensor for a camera of this type at the time it was introduced. It is about the lens pretty much. The camera is slooooow, but the lens is great. It takes photos that are pretty comparable to a DSLR in the right hands. The depth of field will be less at any focal length, but at ISO 50 and in good light the photo quality is excellent.
Summary: Love the camera, exactly what I wanted. I wanted a higher pixel faster camera than my origianl Olympus point and shoot camera. Other than not being able to stick it in your pocket, I have found no cons to this camera only pros!
Summary: Hi!i have this camera for almost 1 year and after long learning how to use it i realised that i make the best choice by buying this camera!even we are in 2012 this little beauty keep head up against majority of advanced cameras, even some of dslr segment!many of you may say that i am crazy but i realized after hard work what this ''little tank can do''! the lens are beautiful!(2.4-3.5)and i'm not exagerate!
Summary: Great camera. I love being able to use the remote to get steadier shots. Bought it used and had to learn all over again how to shoot a camera without IS. I am surprised that I am able to get most of my shots w/o any blur, but the telephoto shots are a little more demanding.
Summary: Great camera, I have many, but without question this is the best point and shoot ever made. It is not for sports or action shots, but if you shoot landscapes, then this one is the tool for you.
read the reviews this is a very good Camera C8080 you wont be sorry.

Summary: I am extremely happy with this camera. The pictures are crystal clear, a very inexpensive set of screw-on macro lenses give me great closeups of insects and anything small, the camera has shooting modes including allowing shutter speed or f-stop priority, and auto-bracketing! For the price I got on ebay (20% of the original purchase price when the camera first came out) I couldn't be happier.
It is the camera I have wanted for years!! But, you must read the manual!

Summary: First of all this is one heavy son of a gun. BUT it is the digital camera I have been trying to buy for years. I just had to wait until the price came down into my budget. I want to say that this is all it is cracked up to be and more. Personally I don't think you can go wrong with this camera. After living through digital camera hell with poorly thought out menus. Menus that don't allow access to most or all of the functions/features.
Summary: Dated now by its small view screen, the C-8080 has a very, very good lens system and a large (for a point-and-shoot) sensor. It has a dual memory card system allowing the user to ignore/remove the proprietary xD card which is slow and use the CF card instead. The metal alloy frame is very tough. The C-8080 is a serious camera.
