In 2014 still a fanstastic camera!
3 March 2014
Summary: I am writting this review in March 2014. Even thouugh this camera is a few years old, it takes fantastic shots.I have tried two newwer cameras, but I still prefer shots from the C-7070. When photos are uploaded on facebook, there are more "likes" when they came from the C-7070 then on photos take with a newer camera. One thing that I love about Olympus camera is that they get the "colours" just right. I am not sure if the newer Olympus camera match.
Summary: I have only used the basic functions so far. I have not had time to load the discs that came with the camera,to learn more. But if the advanced functions are on par with the basic functions I am sure it will be spectacular, because the pictures I have taken far exceed any other camera I have ever used. I bought this camera after researching online which would be the best camera to take crisp close ups, I came up with two choices this one and a Nikon.
Superb camera for Underwater photography and macro

Summary: The functions for underwaterphoto is marvellous in this camera when you add the underwater housing. On land the supe macro function is the best I seen in any camera. This is my seconf camera of same modell and to be sure to have the modell for a long time I bought a second one.
Summary: I love this little camera. This is a compact fixed lens camera that a professional would like. Some of the unusual features include a OVF, B mode and manual focusing. All aspects of this camera were way ahead of it's time. I use this as a car camera or when i don't want to be seen carrying my DSLR. It won't fit in your pocket but you can carry it nicely in coat pocket. This camera also uses the BLM1 battery that is a standard on most Olympus DSLR cameras.
Summary: This has been a great camera to supliment my DSLRs. I take it most everywhere. Great macro features, nice quality and plenty of auto and manual settings. Fairly quick to set, a little slow focusing in low light, works great though with my FL36 and FL50 flashes. Good battery longevity. Buy one while they are still available. Would like a larger minimum aperature but 27mm wide angle is great.
Summary: I've had this camera for 3 years now and have taken it on many trips. I chose this over the Canon G6, which is also a very good camera. Both brands use the same SONY sensor but I prefer the way Oly render its images. The 27mm WA lens is also a big plus as I mainly shoot landscape. Other features that tipped the balance in Oly's favor: magnesium body, super macro, ergonomics, hi-res/hi-contrast LCD, longer battery life, pixel-mapping, 4 custom modes, live histogram,...
Summary: The C-7070WZ, by Olympus, is a unique camera with features that are not to be seen in many other digital cameras. You can probably get a digital camera that will take as good or better pictures, but your adventure in composing a shot, dabbling with camera features and experimenting with shutter, aperture, lighting and other such variables won't be the same without the C-7070. Fully manual control allows such exploration.
Summary: I've been a '7070 user since early 2005 when Olympus released it. As of now, it's no longer sold and anyone lucky enough will find it on eBay or some other place. I highly recommend the '7070 to anyone interested in a high end camera that delivers on incredible levels. This camera's been around the country with me in the past two years.
A pony in the bottom of the barrel. Wow, what a camera!

Summary: After reading why Consumer Report considered this camera a best buy, I was on a mission to buy one. I never thought I would own a camera this nice. Olympus support is excellent as well. It's a pleasure to deal with them. Wow, what a nice camera! I absolutely love it! I never dreamed, at my age, I would own a camera this nice.
