Olympus C 7000 Zoom Camera

csark1, Ebay
5 December 2010
  • Summary: Smooth operation...there is hardly a need to read the accompanying manual. The feature list is extensive...the only drawback is the time limitation on the amont of video you can shoot at one time, but this is a limitation of the available media, not the camera. A great "starter" camera......

Not a Novice's Camera

  • Summary: I for one love my Olympus C7000. I had one before that I felt so-so about but then it was stolen and I tried out a few other brands and this is when I realized how much I actually liked my C7000. Not being a currently produced item any longer, I embarked on a quest to find a used one. Finding these proved not to be so difficult given they are older models and lots of people try to stay updated with their electronics plus the fact that a lot of Novices have purchased this...

C7000, a classic that takes wonderful photos

stormygirl36, Ebay
25 September 2010
  • Summary: I chose to purchase a slightly older P&S camera because the new cameras have lost the megapixel race; manufacturers have packed so many pixels on smaller and smaller sensors, leading to significant image quality issues from noise. I also prefer a camera with a viewfinder, as do many people who wear glasses.

I love this camera!!

Kristy Ann Emerson, Amazon
25 March 2010
  • Summary: I purchased my refurbished Olympus C-7000 about 5 years ago. I had been looking for a nice, durable point-and-shoot that I could throw into a backpack on hiking trips, something tough that wouldn't fall apart if it got banged around a bit. I must say, I couldn't be happier with a camera. It's proven to be exactly what I was looking for. The thing can take a beating and has never faltered in its ability to produce beautiful pictures.

Olympus C-7000 Camera

geothon, Ebay
19 March 2010
  • Summary: Great camera that is much more than a simple point and shoot. Takes high quality outdoor pictures, excellent micro and macro mode, wide range of manual adjustments and zoom. Great for inside too but needs correction of the white balance settings when using flash under fluorescent lights. Navigating the controls and menu is fairy easy. A little to big to just carry in the pocket but once again this camera is a step toward SLR class.

Tough Little Bugger

David Mettenburg, Amazon
28 November 2009
  • Summary: I bought mine in 2005 after using a pretty cheap HP something. It's been a stalwart companion for nearly all family outings for the past 5 years (about). I purchased a 1GB SD card after a year or two which greatly increased the storage capacity, but it kind of slowed down the responsiveness of the shooting (I think).

Olympus C7000 Zoom camera

rocklock62, Ebay
28 November 2009
  • Summary: Previously had same camera, but after an estimated sixty thousand pics, it quit working. The original cost about $600. This former display model was delivered to my door for $100. Sure, it is a little beat up, but still takes a good picture. I checked out features and picture quality of newer model cameras of similar size, but determined they were no better than the C7000. In fact, many had fewer features and pictures were no better.

Something for the enthusiast

chzsteak101607, Ebay
16 April 2009
  • Summary: The C-7000 is a tiny, fully-featured camera that offers RAW and TIFF file types in addition to .jpegs. It's truly a capable pocket camera that's great for the enthusiast. Seven megapixels is plenty of resolution. I got mine for $100. It's original MSRP was $700.
