Summary: This is my second c-3000, bought another one because it's just a wonderful camera. Does everything that I need. Had my first one for 10 + years and it is still working strong. These cameras are practically indestructable. Shortly after I bought it I dropped the first Olympus Camedia c-3000 from the top of the refrigerator to a ceramic floor - no damage, and it's still works perfectly.

Summary: I owned one of these cameras previously & after ten years of use it finaly quit. This camera has many useful features & produces professional quality photos, I was lucky to find a replacement on eBay & win the bid for it. This camera is not too big nor too heavy & yet has all the features anyone could wish for in a camera includeing an optical view finder & is not expensive.
Summary: Olympus Camedia C-3000 3.3 megapixels was rated very high by most reports. It has a lot of great features but most have not been able to figure out yet (it has been a year). There is a delay when taking pictures (common for digitals) which isn't great when you need to snap it now! (i.e kids). It is bulkier than some ....but they do not have all features. Strap disconnected from metal brad after 6 months and lens cover is nto connected to camera so keep losing.
Pros: battery/power need, long learning curve to figure out functions and not where to go for help
Cons: battery/power need, long learning curve to figure out functions and not where to go for help
Summary: I have only had this camera for about 3 weeks and like it very much so far. Great pictures! I have always used a 35mm SLR using only manual operation. So to see the quality I get with the automatic settings on this camera is impressive. I still have to investigate the manual operation of the Olympus, it is very different from a film camera - at least in operation, the concepts are the same.
Pros: Quality of pictures, easy to use, lots of features
Excerpt: "I have owned this camera for about a year with no problems at all. It has been thrown in the back of the car, bags etc. and every time it is needed just pick it up point and shoot. It takes fantastic pictures every time in any light or what ever distance.I have some really great pictures from the london eye day and night. It took a little while to get used to all the settings and what works well, and what dosen't, which is just a learning curve ...
Excerpt: "...cd burner. I bought the Olympus c3000 over a year ago in Malaysia to replace a c830 I had lost and as it was around 100 pounds less than the price back home. This particular model was not available in the uk ( only the 3030 ). The Olympus digi-cam is targeted toward the semi and not so serious amateur photographer who wants to take holiday/ special event photos or ones to add to their web site. Unlike Sony who have their memory stick and ...
