Summary: The camera purchased had been used more than was indicated as ex bankrupt/warehouse/distributor stock but the sellers - Snap it Up - came up trumps and rectified the misunderstanding quickly and efficiently.
Summary: It took me five years to destroy this camera. I liked it so much I have replaced it with its 2013 equivalent. This camera took part in rock climbing, mountain biking, Underwater swimming, and loads of other outdoor stuff.
Summary: This camera can do everything I need it to do. It has many, many different settings. It has been dropped my kids countless times and still working. Definitely the best camera I have ever bought!!!!
Summary: I have to say this has been a huge success. It takes beautful quality pictures for a small, non-professional camera. It has withstood many drops and dampenings (I haven't submerged it but feel confident enough to take it in the sea and out in boats).
Summary: Took this camera (Olympus Mju 850SW Digital Camera - Starry Silver (8.0MP, 3x Digital Zoom) 2.5" LCD ) in the sea for the first time on my gap year and as soon as I got out the sea the camera instantly stopped working - the screen crashed and so I was left to continue my gap year without a camera -...
Summary: Which is a shame, because I dropped it in the sea :o( Otherwise it's a brilliant camera that can be taken anywhere. It produces crisp clear photos and has survived me dropping it (often) kicking it and skiing over it, with regular salt water soakings thrown in.
Summary: I have had 2 of these cameras replaced/repaired in a year as they both leaked at ARM depth, never mind 3 metres. When the owner manual states "if water gets in to the battery compartment dry it out". Not a very practical solution with sea water as salt will never dry out properly.
Summary: If you are surprised at this statement then you will be interested to know that an olympus guarantee can be worth as little as the paper it is written on. My daughter bought an mju 850 which was 'waterproof to 3 metres and shockproof if dropped from 1.5 metres'....forget it!
Summary: Awesome camera. Some idiot here states that the advert is misleading as it doesn't get scuffed. Dude, it isn't made of diamond. The camera is very durable and rugged- survived many drunken nights out and the accompanying falls and beer-dunks.
