Buying another since the first is MIA.

anythingluxury, Ebay
29 August 2014
  • Summary: I loved this camera. Buying another one since the first came up missing. I have a Canon Powershot SD790IS, which I like BUT what if I drop it? Or get it wet.. It seems fragile after having this Olympus. Nice big display and the waterproof and shockproof features are really neat. In low light conditions, the picture quality is poor. But with adequate lighting, they are good. Takes excellent underwater movies. I love how the camera looks too.

Camera

  • Summary: This works great. It's small enough for me to put in my purse. The pictures are great. The one down feature is the sound when making a recording it doesn't pick up enough.

Failed Water Test

  • Summary: Although the pictures were very good and was easy to use, it leaked when I used it underwater. Not very nice when you go to Hawaii and it dies with your first dip!

  • Summary: The quality sucked and the seal went during a trip in the Caribbeans. Didn't even get to use it in the water.

  • Summary: Still like this better than the models that came after (until this year's, 2013 where they moved the shutter to the camera center). Easy to use and great pics.

Be careful with this "rugged" camera...

Nitwit, Amazon
4 October 2013
  • Summary: I read several reviews before buying it about it getting water in it. I still bought it. I had it in my hand as I was swimming in a river. I climbed on to a rock to take some photos but every time I turned it on, it kept telling my battery door was open. It wasn't open. I triple checked. Not until I saw the water creeping into the screen that I knew it was too late.

  • Summary: I already have one and am pretty good with using it ; problem ? I have two harleys and one camera ..... so am always forgetting the camera. Solution find and purchase a 5 year old camera in good shape ....found one from Hawaii used once ?!?!?!?!?!? I know, but it's just as advertised , steal of the century , now each bike has a camera in its pouches........ Now to remember about keeping batteries charged ...........

Great for the price

Runar, Amazon
20 May 2013
  • Summary: I have used this camera on dozen of kayak-trips, dangling from its lanyard on my life-vest, since I bought it in 2008 and it has not shown any weaknesses. Never any issues with water-leakage or from rough care. I also find battery-life to be good. The reason I give it a four rather than a five is due to picture quality; due to pixels and a somewhat weaker lens than my Canon 11 I sometimes wish for more pixels. But for the price it is a good buy.
