Summary: Purchased at Target on Closeout for $279 with 10-30mm lens. Found a refurbished 30-100mm lens for $99. Paid $30 for the Thom Hogan Nikon N1 Guide Book (www.sansmirror.com) <<< Must Read for all N1 owners. 95% of my images are taken with the camera mounted on a tripod and I set the timer for a 2 or 5 second delay. Manual mode is used 50% of the time and Aperture Priority the other 50%. The majority of my images are landscape, still life and individual portraits.
Summary: I loved this camera when I bought it about a year ago. It is still a point and shoot camera, but took amazing photos. It was really the first camera I bought of this price. Up until about a week ago, I would've given it 6 stars. But I dropped my camera onto my mattress from about a foot up and the camera wouldn't turn on. No matter what I tried, it wouldn't turn on.
