Read more

This is a great camera. I've been looking for a DSLR for 2 years now. Finally one came out with a Movie Mode, and I bought it. I was considering either a Canon XSI, or 40D, but went with the Nikon D90 because of the video and... Read more
I consider this camera a classic. It lets you take control over the parameters and then it gets out of your way. Ergonomics is great. The 12M sensor is large enough for most people's needs. Read more or see product
After starting out with and learning on a D40 for 2 1/2 years, I had sorely outgrown it and was itching to stretch my photog legs. Or, er, shutter fingers. Read more
Awesome picture quality, same as my D300. It is much more plasticy than a D300, but I like it because it's much lighter and fits my hands perfectly. Read more
The Nikon D90 is a great camera, if you're willing to take the time to learn how to use it. For less advanced users I'd suggest the D40, which has fewer features to worry about learning and is even leaner than the '90. Read more
A great entry-level professional camera. This is the camera you want if you have existing electronic focus lenses as they will work with this Nikon model but not all others. Read more

Is it better to go with an 18-105mm & a 70-300 lens or should I just get an 18-200 lens? I will be taking pictures of houses in & out and action shots of 2 wild & crazy boys. I also like to take pictures of little things close up like bugs, flowers & plants. Is it possible to get an additional wide angle lens to "snap on" to one of the lens? THANK YOU THANK YOU!!
Answered by stefan 2009-07-14:
The 18-200 is a great allround lens that should be a great choice in any situation. The range on the 70-300 might be rather limiting loosing everything from normal to the wide end.. The 18-105 is a good lens in terms of the money you have to spend on it. You can check Ken Rockwells raving review of the 18-200 also : http://www.kenrockwell.com/nikon/18200.htm
