Summary: I've progressively upgraded to this body via the D3200 and D5200. The jump from the D5200 to the D7100 isn't as dramatic as from the D3200 to the D5200, and possibly the new D5300 is the sweet-spot for value right now, but I am happy with the D7100. It is refreshing to have a lot more settings close at hand, courtesy of the many more physical buttons dedicated to them and the additional control dial. The viewfinder is quite a bit nicer - the image is bigger and brighter.

Summary: "Purchase this camera and receive a free 32 GB memory card and bag, and save hundreds on select Nikon lenses and speedlights. " I bought on Black Friday, the website showed as top,but now I just received the SLR camera, there was no SD card and case. I want to know when I can get these two things ??
Excerpt: I purchased a D7100 about a month ago and have been using it exclusively since then. I know it’s a bit late for a “D7100 Review”, having been introduced in early 2013, but still, since a lot of ppl are thinking about upgrading / changing bodies, they might find the review useful. About me: As many Nikon users, I had (still have) a D300s which , while being a fantastic camera, had a couple of shortcomings that I wanted to address.
Summary: The whole package is great for me. I'm new to photography so I can't provide a decent review on the camera or the lens. However, two things I dislike are: 1- the LCD screen protector is not practical. It didn't last one day on the LCD screen and 2- The memory card bundled in this package is not among Nikon's certified list. I got it working for an hour before it stopped working.
Summary: Well I bought the body only from Amazon Prime and received it on time but the package seemed to be open box. So I took one picture and run software where I can see all the meta info including picture counts. It showed 162 counts already. Ouch! That was my first luck. I needed the camera next day for some event so I decided to test it. Oh well, the camera had serious back focusing issue no matter how I change the setting to AF-A, C, S (single, d9, 3d, 51, etc.).
