Summary: First I would like to say this is my first DSLR. I decided to go big so I'm not limited by options in the future. I know some people say not to because it's dumb to do, I beg to differ. I learn stuff really quick. In the few hours I played with it I was getting close to pro shots with it. I did however spend my days on YouTube watching tutorial videos until it came of course. This camera is great, heavy (A little over 3 pounds with lens on it), but great.
Excerpt: I took this camera after using for several years the nikon d3000. The difference was astonishing great camera and great reviews on this site. Problems: The Iso button regulator is not in a good position to make quick changes, i suggest using one of the customizeble buttons to avoid this inconvenient
Summary: Ive only just begun my photography business venture and this was the perfect starter camera, I tossed and turned night after night for weeks trying to decide what to purchase for a new camera and the D7000 won! Even in comparison I think that it beats out the D300s for MP and Im just so happy with it I think its the best camera for price when you line them all up!
Impressed. DON'T FEAR the focus! An excellent choice for the learning photographer.

Summary: I have to admit, after researching this camera I was nervous about purchasing this due to the many posts about focus issues, but after 1.5 years of using a d5100, I found that I really needed more accessible control to get to the next level. I have a large investment in Nikon DX lenses so getting an FX camera was just not an option. The new D600 has the ability to shoot DX, but it is far from ideal and the cost of the D600 body was out of my price range.
Summary: walmart deliver the right product i ordered. fast too, this camera is just what i wanted, not too complicated to operate for beginners, yet good enough to pro's. nice, fast shutter speed, good enough crop sensor, exceptional image quality. must have if not too serious about video recording.
Summary: I have a long history of using Nikon film cameras, but this is my first foray into serious digital SLR photography. The D7000 and 18-200mm VR lens combo is a perfect tool, with features to last me for many years.
