Excerpt: Nikon D7000 Refurbished! Arrived quickly and had only 32 shutter accuations. Love this camera and its easy to use with controls right where they should be. I highly recommend this camera. Adorama has earned my business!
Summary: Despite the purported reliability of this camera, the shutter broke at 18,000. It scratched the sensor as it broke so repair bill was $630. If you do buy this camera, I would suggest an extended protection plan.
Summary: I received the camera today and am already putting it back in the box to return to Amazon. I charged and inserted the battery but the device failed to power-on. More charging, still nothing. Gave it to my wife and brother to make sure I was not missing something important. Nothing. I will be shipping it all back in the morning and expect to receive a replacement. I will update this review if the replacement turns out to actually work.
Rugged, Light, Adaptable, Powerful all for around a grand.

Summary: I have been shooting with a Nikon D7000 now for about a year. During that year it has been through hell constantly. Its been all over the country, and all over a war zone. I want to start by saying, this is truly a rugged camera. I am a Combat Photographer for the army. I use my own equipment as my command is cheap and worthless. Currently, I am deployed overseas and this camera gets used every day. I chose the D7K a year ago because of a few things.
Summary: I have been a Canon user since 2006. I own the Canon 5DMII, 7D, T3, xTi and several smaller point-and-shoots. I had been wanting to try Nikon to have an educated review of Canon's biggest rival, Nikon. I finally grabbed this model when it was briefly offered for under USD 997 on Black Friday. I am very impressed so far. This camera compares best to my Canon 7D but I must say there are several things that are making me like this Nikon more.
Summary: I recently purchased this Nikon D7000 to replace an older digital camera that didn't have as many pixels. We chose the Nikon because we have a film Nikon SLR and the other lenses will intercange. The camera is a little heavy especially after adding the additional battery pack, but is quite comfortable to hold and operate. It takes wonderful pictures and is relatively easy to use. It has so many features that we are still investigating.
i am surprised and impressed by this dslr capabilites.

Summary: hi' i think. i have been using nikon photo equipment for years. i have had a d2xs that i have been using it for several years. it takes excellent image's but it's a heavy dude. and adding my lenses, well i haven't found a crane that can pick it up. its the hauling it around that became the problem. i started to look for lighter dslr with the capabilites that i'm accustom to. after some reading and talking with friends and with munch anguish i decided on trying the d7000.
Summary: I get the best of both worlds... well almost.. I use my nikon for photography as well as videography.. I love the product in comparison with the 7D which was my biggest fight as I'd already owned the D80 & D90. My biggest cry is the fact that I don't have 60fps in video... If you have no need for 60fps... this is the biggest bang for the buck!!!
