Amazing Camera

Russell S., Newegg
28 December 2012
 • Summary: If you're not a pro, read the manual and learn how to shoot in manual mode. It's much more fun and the results are so much more interesting.
 • Pros: This camera takes excellent pictures in Automatic mode and Automatic-without-flash. Color balance/contrast is superior to the Canon model line, especially in low-light conditions. Which is surprising considering this is only a 16MP sensor.
 • Cons: None thus far.

 • Pros: too many too list.
 • Cons: Not good for video ie 24 fps 1080i is more than enough for most vids but its the focusing and the awkward way one has to hold it. also depens on the lens ur using. noise from focusing etc.

D7000 the #1 crop dslr

Jeffy, Adorama
24 December 2012
 • Excerpt: I use the D7000 to take pictures of portraits and landscapes. The pictures come out fantastic. The D7000 still outreigns the new canon cameras for beginners like the t4i. If you have money you should invest in better glass and just buy the d7000 body. The sharpness and clarity is that or similar to the pro Nikon slrs. Don't confuse this crop camera to a full sensor camera. Crop cameras are usually used for potraits and street photography.
 • Pros: Easy To Use, Fast / Accurate Auto-Focus, Fast Shutter Speed, Good Image Quality, Good Image Stabilization, High ISO Performance

Fantastic camera!

Deepak, Adorama
23 December 2012
 • Excerpt: What a superb camera to have as a first DSLR!
Found all the controls a little overwhelming at the beginning - but once I starting learning the controls, I began to get more and more comfortable.
It will still probably take me many months if not years to learn everything the camera has to offer (especially for an amateur like me).
But for now, I love my D7000!
 • Pros: Easy To Use, Fast / Accurate Auto-Focus, Fast Shutter Speed, Good Image Quality, Good Image Stabilization, High ISO Performance, Large Clear LCD, Quiet

Very Nice

B. Hoffman "Proud Papa", Amazon
19 December 2012
 • Summary: Stepped up from a D-50 then D-80, (handed those both down to family). Am very happy with this new high end (to me) digital SLR. Lots of options in the menu which is easy to navigate, coming from previous Nikons, that allow for lots of flexibilty in the future. 16 megapixels will allow cropping if ever needed, and still have good resolution for printing.

Mike the Matrix, Adorama
18 December 2012
 • Excerpt: I am a beginner in photography. I owned a d5100 and liked how the quality was. Upgraded to this camera and it is just superb. Great pictures in low light and its just a great camera. The only con I see with it is I wish it had the swivel LCD.
 • Pros: Easy To Use, Fast / Accurate Auto-Focus, Fast Shutter Speed, Good Image Quality, Good Image Stabilization, High ISO Performance, Large Clear LCD, Quiet
 • Cons: Wish It Had A Swivel Lcd
