Excerpt: From a Photographers and not a Videographers view point. > Good Camera? Yes! The D90 is still a pretty close runner up to the D7000. I have both. It is an improvement on the previous D90 that was already good. I use it for my pro work and it produces great results. The only thing I do not like is that little rubber thing on the right side at the bottom where the Batteri fits in to.
Excerpt: this is my baby. so very easy to use. great controls/features for a variety of settings. great auto/manuel controls. easily switch from photo to video mode. easy to capture stills from video. a wonderful powerful creative tool. i absolutely enjoy having this camera as part of my arsenal. it rocks. beautiful crisp sharp vibrant image color hands on professional very easy. some light reading and you are good to go sturdy. built for all terrain last long and charges fast.
Excerpt: Nikon is my only choice. Have compared with Canon, but I am always inclined towards Nikon. And this camera supports this for me. Excellent picture quality and features. Excellent picture quality and features. Excellent. Use it at home, outdoors and in low light the quality is very good. as any DSLR, check the features and use all of it to get best results. Too many features that I am still learning new things daily.
Excerpt: This is a great semi-professional camera! It works great out of the box, just on the auto settings, but once you learn how to use the manual settings, the pictures go from great to AMAZING! Great quality images! Low light without a flash can be blurry (as with any camera) The only thing I don't like about the camera is the built in flash isn't mounted high enough and you get a slight crescent shadow at the bottom of the images. A different flash eliminates this problem!
Excerpt: This camera is very good for people who have a good understanding about photography in general. There are some auto features with this camera, but it doesn't make sense to buy this camera if you're going to only use it on auto. It's too expensive as a point and shoot. Buy a point and shoot if you are too afraid to learn about a complex settings or don't have a desire to learn about the many features the D7000 has.
