Excerpt: This was my first DSLR camera (actually, my first camera - period! But I have used many point and shoots, and a Nikon DSLR previously), and I'm very happy with it. I'd definitely recommend reading the manual (repeatedly) and discovering just what this machine is capable of. This camera is great for inexperienced users - the Program and Auto modes produce satisfying pictures most of the time. But it is also capable of 'growing with you', as it is a fairly advanced DSLR.
Pros: Good Image Quality, Good Image Stabilization, Grows With You, High ISO Performance, Large Clear LCD
Excerpt: I recently upgraded from a D5000 (my first DSLR camera), because I wanted something that offered some of the features of a pro camera body. Plus there were some characteristics of the D5000 that I didn't like. I believe the D7000 is the perfect balance between amature and pro! The camera has a great feel to it; a little larger than the D3000/3100 and D5000/5100 but not too big to carry around all day. It focuses fast and the photos are crisp and true to color.
Pros: Fast / Accurate Auto-Focus, Fast Shutter Speed, Good Image Quality, High ISO Performance, Large Clear LCD, Quiet
Summary: Still working on reading all the instructions and getting used to the different kind of settings. Had an D3000 Kit with a 18-55 and 55-200 lens for about 3 years now. So far: Love the improvement for pictures taken in low light environment. Solid case and seems very well manufactured. Appears high quality (as expected). Good grip holding the SLR.
Excerpt: I was really looking forward to the D7000, wanted to be happy with it, denied my initial impressions. But after two weeks of struggling with fine-tuning the auto-focus, it's going back. This can be someone else's battle.

Love the viewfinder, shutter response, feel, ergonomics, features, and just-right size for me and my lenses. I'm willing to believe I just got unlucky - but whoever got this before me was also unlucky. I may still pickup a new D7000.
Pros: Fast Shutter Speed, Good ergonomics, Good Image Quality, High ISO Performance, Large Clear LCD
Excerpt: Refurbished Nikon D7000 arrived quickly, looked brand new and only had 3 shutter actuations (yep, only THREE clicks). I was hesitant to by refurbished, but with Adorama VIP you have one year warranty plus 90 days Nikon warranty is a good deal.
Back to D7K - the image quality is outstanding. I recommend to read and reread the manual and play with the camera before taking in it to the field. Manual is easily downloadable in PDF format from Nikon website.
Pros: Fast Shutter Speed, Good Image Quality, Good Image Stabilization, High ISO Performance, Large Clear LCD, Quiet
Excerpt: I bought this camera as an upgrade to the Nikon D5100. However, I wasn't sure whether to buy it new or refurbished. After reading the many positive reviews on Adorama on the refurbished D7000, I decided to go for it and save a few $$$. The camera was delivered to me in 2 days after ordering it and I have to say that the camera is indistinguishable from a new one.
Excerpt: I took this camera after using for several years the nikon d3000. The difference was astonishing great camera and great reviews on this site. Problems: The Iso button regulator is not in a good position to make quick changes, i suggest using one of the customizeble buttons to avoid this inconvenient
Summary: Ive only just begun my photography business venture and this was the perfect starter camera, I tossed and turned night after night for weeks trying to decide what to purchase for a new camera and the D7000 won! Even in comparison I think that it beats out the D300s for MP and Im just so happy with it I think its the best camera for price when you line them all up!
