Very Pleased

Joel, Cameta
8 February 2013
 • Excerpt: This was my first purchase of a "refurbished" product. Other than the fact the packaging was different and the camera indicated approximately 1,000 pictures had already been taken, I would not have known it wasn't brand new. It had no scratches or any other indications of previous use. I have since purchased a refurbished Nikon lense from Cameta with similiar results.

Regarding the camera, I upgraded to the D7000 from a D3000.
 • Pros: Fast / Accurate Auto-Focus, Good Image Quality, Good Image Stabilization, High ISO Performance

 • Excerpt: Debated between the D7000 and the 2 others below it. Finding it at Cameta at the price I did made it a no brainer. Even the Company Demo one with about 1000 actuations made it a great purchase. You won't be disappointed.
 • Pros: Fast / Accurate Auto-Focus, Fast Shutter Speed, Good Image Quality, Good Image Stabilization, Large Clear LCD

Great Camera, Does Exactly What You Ask

@TheGattoniCelli, Cameta
8 February 2013
 • Excerpt: This is a great camera. I can see why people love it. Right now I am just starting out so I have the 18-55mm kit lens on it but the images are still great. Once I get faster glass like a 35mm prime or something the results will be terrific. If you just take some time to read about the three basic elements of managing light -- aperture, ISO, shutter speed -- and take the time to read the owner's guide and fiddle with the camera you will be using manual mode before you...
 • Pros: Easy To Use, Fast / Accurate Auto-Focus, Fast Shutter Speed, Good Image Quality, Good Image Stabilization, High ISO Performance, Large Clear LCD
 • Cons: Heavy

Nikon D7000, Challenging but worth it

afm774, Amazon
4 February 2013
 • Summary: I have truly come to love this camera and have been using it since Dec 2010. If you're a beginner, as in, you have no idea about photography and are not willing to learn technical concepts, then skip this camera and just get something you can set on auto and fire away. The D7000 is a very sophisticated tool and it can be very frustrating if you don't know what you're doing.

Great Camera for the serious photographer wanting to improve their skills.

rw9714, Ebay
2 February 2013
 • Summary: I upgraded from the D5100 for the better build quality and for the ability to use all Nikon lenses. What I didn't realize was that I was getting a lot more pro level features in the bargain. With over 100 custom settings I can personalize this camera to suit the style of photography I do. This is not a camera for the beginner because of its level of customization and sophistication. Hands down this is the best cropped sensor camera in the marketplace.

 • Summary: this camera is on point. there have been issues in the past with the autofocus however, if consumers spend some time reading the manual and possibly a few photograhy books, they'll learn how to use this thing like a pro

Refurbished Nikon D7000 - good as new!

Random Nublet, Cameta
24 January 2013
 • Excerpt: This was my first DSLR camera (actually, my first camera - period! But I have used many point and shoots, and a Nikon DSLR previously), and I'm very happy with it. I'd definitely recommend reading the manual (repeatedly) and discovering just what this machine is capable of. This camera is great for inexperienced users - the Program and Auto modes produce satisfying pictures most of the time. But it is also capable of 'growing with you', as it is a fairly advanced DSLR.
 • Pros: Good Image Quality, Good Image Stabilization, Grows With You, High ISO Performance, Large Clear LCD
 • Cons: Short Battery Life
