Good Camera

Tiger, B&H Photo

  • Excerpt: A very nice camera. 24 mega pixel are good enough without the issues of the 36 mega sensor. I might not be 100% happy with the autofocus in low light but you can't everything in one camera for $
  • Pros: Good Image Quality, High ISO Performance

User Review

  • Excerpt: As an amature photog, I have been living in the Nikon DX world for about 3 years.  I started with the D3100 and then moved to the D7100 about a year later.  The more pictures I took, the more I wanted a full-frame camera.  I did quite a bit of research before taking the plunge and purchasing the D610.  While  I would have loved the D800/810, I could not justify the price, and also did not want to deal with the massive files associated with the 800 series.

Great Camera

  • Excerpt: I have been shooting Canon camera for a long time. Presently a Canon 50D. I recently upgraded to a Nikon D610. Trying to learn all of the features of a Nikon Camera. I have been impressed with all of it's features. The reason I chose to switch to a Nikon was the feature to take multiple exposures. Thinking that I could take up to 10 images to overlay. The reason I rated the camera a 4 star, was that I am limited to only 3 images to overlay. Disappointed!!!!!

Why I'm returning the 610 I liked so muc

  • Excerpt: This is my first purchase of a full-frame camera after years of testing rentals. I loved the 600 and looked forward to buying a 610. When the time came, I felt I could take a chance on buying a manufacturer-refurbished unit. The result was some images had spots resembling the oil-on-sensor problem that the 600 was known for.
  • Pros: Affordable, Color, Ease of Use, Resolution, Weight

Not the best in the line but beautiful.

  • Excerpt: To be of any value a person who reviews a product should be well qualified to do so. I am not a professional so I had to depend on experts in the field for their assessment. They were universal in giving me the confidence to buy a Nikon D 610. I am very happy with the camera. A subject I can attest to is the quality of the 'Users Manual' it is superbly thought out and has alleviated the fears I had in understanding the complexities of this unit.
  • Pros: Easy To Use, Fast Shutter Speed, Good Image Quality, Large Clear LCD

Nice jump from Nikon D90

tylerga, Bestbuy
7 July 2014
  • Summary: Bought this camera as an upgrade/complement to my Nikon D90. It was a challenge to put up the money for the 610 vs the 7200, but I am happy I did.
  • Pros: Full frame, great in low light situations
  • Cons: Full Frame sensor is the only difference between D7200
