Excerpt: You can spend more, but not get much more. I purchased my D610 after Nikon refunded my money on a D600. I use it for everything including long exposure astrophotography on a computer guided tracking mount, (see my gallery). Being my 5th Nikon DSLR, it is surely the best.
Summary: It's a great camera. This is my first full frame camera and it definitely has not disappointed. I have used this with confidence at more than one job that was extremely important. The photos are great and the low light performance is flawless.
