Excerpt: Bought this as my second camera but as a first semi-professional SLR back in 2007/08 when I was 18. Summary: I love this camera, and the 55-200mm lens is amazing and produces a narrow focus range just like I was looking for. It has a quick recovery time after each picture, BUT if the battery is low it will not let you take a picture at all.
Excerpt: I borrowed one of these for three years from my high school, it provided an excellent base and got me well acquainted with the DSLR world. I would recommend this for any first time photographer looking for a beginner's camera at a cheap price.

Summary: I've owned this camera for about 3 months, I took a lot of photos with it, and I finally decide to give it a review. First of all, I am a first time dslr user, but that doesn't mean I had no experience with terms like aperture, shutter speed, iso, etc.
Summary: This is a wonderful resource to supplement the original manual which can be confusing to the novice (like myself). Mr. Busch's guide provides basic breakdowns of the D60 to the lowest level so that anyone can understand it.
Summary: Dave Busch does a fabulous job. The Nikon D60 is a excellent DSLR starter camera. For the majority of folks that purchase the D60, it will be the only DSLR they will ever need. This fact becomes more emphatic if the camera owner buys and reads this book.
