Summary: Great experience. Bought "like new" and was pleasantly surprised. Couldn't even tell it had been used. Love the camera already and haven't even read the manual. Would recommend seller and camera!
Summary: This is an excellent camera with more options then most people need, but the options are there when and if you start to experiment with is camera. This camera is not low end or high but is in the middle, which puts it at a comfortable level, recording VIDIOS is easy because of a well placed record button. I have TRYED many cameras and this is the best that I have used.
Best Bang for Buck, underestimated high quality Video
2 weeks ago
Summary: The Camera is light weight and shoots great in low light situations. Not being able to control the Aperture in Live view Movie Mode is annoying, but not a deal breaker. I am a filmmaker and on a very limited budget, so i needed a quality D-SLR for cheap. This camera is probably the best bang for your buck. Shoots comparable to all Canon models. Video at 60i is a little choppy when a lot of movement is going on, shooting at 1080p 30p is the way to go.
Conclusion: Our six year G9 Canon camera had a failure too expensive to fix. I considered the new Nikon Coolpix 600 (but it has no RAW mode, no socket for an external flash), I looked at Canon SX-50. In my experience using a Canon (I have Canon 7D camera) is hard to use, unless one is a dedicated geek. I keeps navigate through menus and menus. After 3 years, we still had to look at the manuals.
Pros: Easy to Use, Large Clear LCD, Fast Shutter Speed, Great Resolution, Good in Low Light, Small/Compact, Good Battery Life, a pleasure to use
Summary: When I purchased the D5200, I had never owned a DSLR or even a point and shoot, but I had done thorough research and figured out that this was the camera for me. This camera far exceeded my expectations: the 24 MP captures immense detail, the 1080p/60 fps recording is awesome (the fps is high enough to even get a little slow mo action going), the flip out screen is nice for those up high/ down low shots, and the list goes on.
Summary: Out of the box this camera is very pretty. I was a bit surprised and panicked a little bit when I turned it on and the language was set to Japanese though. Luckily it was easy enough to find the language section and change it to English. Great camera and I have had so much fun taking pictures all over South Carolina.
