Economical Camera and takes superb shots

Andrew, B&H Photo

  • Excerpt: In the past, I have done everything from macro photography, formation-flight pictures (while taking) and telephoto-style photography from my D100...and this one is far better for all. The only thing that I did not find out that the zoom feature ONLY works on the internal-motor (s or f) lens, not the standard g-lens. I would purchase this camera again in a heartbeat! No questions asked.
  • Pros: Fast/accurate auto-focus, Good Image Quality, Good in Low Light, Large Clear LCD, Short Lag Time, Small / Compact

I love the camera but the charger for the batter just ...

  • Summary: I love the camera but the charger for the batter just died. I've only used it for 2 months and now the dead charger has me wondering about the quality of the product I just got. I've tried checking into getting a factory replacement but keep hitting dead ends. I hope I can get this resolved be for XMas which is one of the reasons why I bought this 800 dollar camera. Now it's just a paper weight.

Starting to love it

  • Excerpt: Only have it a few weeks, one former Nikon AF lens was not compatible. Did not know that, but with the short lens, lots of cool features and functions, very fast, love the large, moveable screen. Will have more thoughts once my new lens arrives.

Another camera that's occasionally smarter than I am - but I wouldn't give it up.

Peter W. "Peter W.", Amazon

  • Summary: I've had a camera in my hands since I was in the 5th grade. My first one was a Kodak Brownie Hawkeye - a 620 roll film camera - which gives you an idea of how many cameras have passed through my hands. I was verrry slow to accept digital as a replacement for film - but I finally sold all of my film cameras about two years ago. At first, I tried a very good "point and shoot" digital (while I still had my 3 Nikons and their 7 lenses).

Never happier

Holy City Photog, B&H Photo

  • Excerpt: This was bought to replace my Pentax K-x (from 2009). After setting it up and taking some test pics I was immediately blown away by the iso performance (and of course the rest of the camera). On my old camera I could see noise at 1600 and greater, and based on recommendations I set my AutoISO top range at 6400. After test images I found that 6400 is in fact stable.
  • Pros: Easy To Use, Excellent Iso Performance, Fast/accurate auto-focus, Good Image Quality, Good in Low Light, Large Clear LCD, Nice Body Color, Short Lag Time

Great Quality Pictures

PhotoGuy, B&H Photo

  • Excerpt: Even though it is a bit daunting getting through the instruction manual, the camera takes great pictures. I especially bought this camera for the video aspect as I have 2 additional NIKONS that aren't video capable. I'd recommend this camera to anyone who desires to take still and videos.
  • Pros: Fast/accurate auto-focus, Good Image Quality, Good Image Stabilization, Large Clear LCD
  • Cons: Lot To Learn
