Summary: I was using this camera for couple of years and it started giving me problem with flash popping up, when I go to service center they said they will give me estimate in couple of days and will send me detail email, but I did not get the response for around 4days, when I called them back they said it will take around couple of more days to know the issue and they will send me email, but after 15minutes Nikon support (Lolitha) called me said issue is fixed and charges are...
Summary: I was sent a USED camera! No doubt about it. The flip-out screen looked like someone's sticky fingered child had gotten a hold of it. Smear marks and scratches all over it. Additionally, the recess where the screen docks is filled with enough dirt, dust and grime to fill someone's rolled up blue jean cuffs. Looks like it had been on a nature hike. It's going back, TODAY! A VERY BIG DISAPPOINTMENT, AMAZON!!!
Received a grey market camera with 3rd party batte
15 November 2013
Summary: While the title of the listing clearly stating that this is a USA camera with warranty card, I was optimistic that I'd receive what I expected. Instead, I got a grey market unit, including a 3rd party battery (the original Nikon battery was not in the box). I could tell that the box had been opened and tampered with as soon as I received it. Very disappointing.
Summary: I've always had Nikon's - always loved 'em - but twice in a row I'm spending hundreds of dollars to get it fixed way too early. Come on guys - get it right.
Pros: Great mid-level camera - when it works.
Cons: Again - the 2nd time we have had issues with the lens mounting to the camera. Does anyone else have this issue ? Camera is (of course) just past 1 year old and suddenly the lens won't mount properly.
Excerpt: Requires AF-S lenses to autofocus (not mentioned in description), so my collection of Nikon lenses are not fully compatible (must focus manually). Even with proper lens, this unit would not autofocus — returned.
Excerpt: Worst product I have ever purchased and the worst customer care I have every interacted with. I had my camera send for repair after it stopped working within my fist use and I have sent it out for repair spending $30 and it has been 2 - 3months and I have not heard from them. When I called them today they are saying warranty is not covered and I had to pay $118. I was not even intimated about this unless I call.
Summary: I've owned many Nikon SLRs and one DSLR and had no major problems. Like others I was taking photos and suddenly everything was black. I've read online this is happening to many owners, so it's not as if I got a rare lemon. Camera is 2 months past warranty and I basically have to pay the postage and to see if it can be fixed and then pay for have it fixed. Camera isn't even a year old! I've never dropped or neglected this camera in any way.
