Summary: Nikon d5100 is perfect both for who want to start photography as me or for a pro. It is very reliable and easy to use. The cost is not that high and, God, the pictures are great ! I have done some shots and I am very proud of myself and of the camera ! Great pictures. Now, i am a Nikon fan and i don't really get those people who say canon are better in video; I did some videos with this camera and i found them great. Very good quality!!
Summary: I love taking pictures (I'm an amateur photographer) and decided I wanted to take a step up in my equipment for better pictures. After much research I decided to buy the Nikon D5100 bundle. The pictures are so perfect i thought they were airbrushed! I am inching to do some landscapes, miniature, main color and other picture taking modes outside of automatic. I'm happy with my purchase.
Summary: No problem with the product but the delivery is of a bit concern. Please place a request with some delivery options in case you think you will not be collecting this personally otherwise they will just leave the big box in open at your doorstep. I was lucky that no one picked up mine form my doorstep.
Summary: I searched for a while for a decent priced SLR and this kit was perfect! When purchased separately it would have cost a few hundred more. Absolutely love the camera- and the seller was Awesome! had a small issue with one of the pieces (not the camera) and seller had it to me within 2 days! Everything is included in this to get you started right down to the tripod and wireless shutter release.
Summary: Perfect and user friendly! Best way to go especially for the money...Get so much with this package you don't need to go and buy everything one by one!Plus its a much better buy, did a lot of research before I bought this and it was by far the best deal! Will need to by another lens for different zooms, but I knew I would have to at some point! Love this camera!
"Best bang for your bucks. Great picture quality!!!"

Pros: Amazing camera with the best features available for a camera under a 1000.00 dollars. You can't go wrong with this powerful DSLR, just learn your Basics and read manuals and you'll get surprised with its wonderful pictures and video.
Cons: I wish it was a bit bigger, for a guy with large hands it could be a bit challenger to handle this small camera, but in the other hand all the controls are easy to access.
Summary: I got this DSLR to complement my aging but much loved Nikon D70. I thought long and hard about getting a D7100, which has higher burst speed, better construction, more advanced auto focus system, and more external manual controls but ended up settling on this because it uses the same sensor and bide my time to go full frame format with a D600 or Canon 5D Mark III. The 5100 handles well although it could use more external controls.
