Excerpt: Size : Compact, but the grip may be a bit too small depending on how big your hands are. Images : Just great. Not really far behind it's newer brothers. Video : Meh, kinda sucks. For better video, go to other brands or to higher end models. Personally I dont mind since I don't shoot a lot of videos anyway. Menu system : Nicely organized.
Don't get frustrated if you're just starting with your camera and your pictures don't look good enough

Summary: I've felt it many times. The frustration you feel when you mess around with all the settings on manual, take a picture hoping it will look mind-blowing and it ends up looking like it was taken with a crappy phone. A DSLR is not a point-and-shoot. You need to learn how to use it. Once you start getting the hang of it, your pictures will start looking better, leaving even the best camera phones far behind. Also, automatic mode works wonders in a LOT of situations.
Summary: The Nikon D5100 does take wonderful movies of more distant soccer games, scenery, family gatherings, weddings and yes it is a camera. The variety of options and quality of photographs is absolutely Stunning. I find it to be magnificent all around high end camera for amateurs.
Summary: He loved it.... very nice for a good starter camera that you can add to later if you wish. My husband likes it just as it is. easy to operate and easy to learn. He has had hours of fun with it already. I like it because of the quality and the packaged set... took the guess work out. I look forward to many years of fun photos with this camera.
Summary: I finally caved and bought the D5100 (not in the household budget!) to replace my D3000 that just couldn't do the time lapses that I want. The D5100 is outstanding, but it's put me on the steep end of the learning curve for photography again for the first time since I got my Nikon F2 back in '72. Much to learn to gain partial mastery of it, but it can do amazing things. I'm particularly impressed with its low-light performance.
The camera takes a amazing pictures and the bundle is a good value.

Summary: This is our first DSLR. After looking at many reviews we settled on this one and so far are very pleased. We are glad we got the bundle. Overall it is much better value that buying the stuff separate. I would recommend this bundle to anyone thinking about it.
Excerpt: Absolutely love this camera but although the video resolution is awesome actually taking the video is kind of cumbersome. Would like to be able to shoot video through viewfinder and not fold out - also auto focus during filming is kinda sketchy and audibly noisy.
Pros: Easy To Use, Fast / Accurate Auto-Focus, Fast Shutter Speed, Good Image Quality, Good Image Stabilization, High ISO Performance, Large Clear LCD, Quiet, Tilt /Swivel LCD
