  • Excerpt: I wore the shutter out on my D300 and so finally upgraded. Wow! The viewfinder alone is worth it; I can see so much more clearly through it. It's a pound heavier, but is so solid I don't mind. I will have more time this winter to explore its many advanced functions.

FAST and Who Needs Light?

  • Excerpt: This camera is without a doubt a speed demon. Not just FPS but also acquiring focus (new group AF rocks), resetting controls, power on, etc. Built solid with no slop and feels like the grip was custom made for my hand. Yes, it's BIG and yes, it's EXPENSIVE. It is an amazing tool (good tools cost) and if low light (AND I mean LOW LIGHT - 12800iso usable right out of the camera!

  • Excerpt: This camera is the "cats meow", except for the memory card slots. As everybody knows, it should have come with dual slots of the same memory type. This would have eliminated alot of problems with card incompatiblity with the XQD slot.
  • Pros: Fast shutter speed, superior image quality, Ultra fast focus
  • Cons: Memory Slots

DREAM CAMERA!

  • Excerpt: I updated my DSLR from Nikon D80 to Nikon D4s. This camera is a whole new world! I am unfamiliar with video, so that will take longer for me to learn. But With photography experience, and knowledge of Nikon products, I have been able to easily understand the manual and make the adjustment to this top of the line, full frame body. Also, it feels great in my hands and I love the way it sounds. The only con I can think of is the second card slot is an XQD card slot.

Whole New Ballgame

Bill, B&H Photo

  • Excerpt: I do extensive landscape photography, nighttime sky photography as well as sports and fast action photography. I stepped up from the D800 and the Df (for low light shooting) and heavens. This camera is fast, accurate, and a joy to use. For star photography the low level of noise at high ISO levels makes my images stunning. I also have grandkids and the ability to capture them in action with 11 frames per second provides candid and beautiful images. I LOVE THIS CAMERA.
  • Pros: Excellent autofocus, Low noise at high ISO, Speed
  • Cons: none
