A camera that produces high quality images.

  • Summary: I haven't really had the time to try all the features and feel it would be beneficial to find classes that would teach me hands on rather than trying to work my way through a users manual that is often difficult to understand. I love the feel of the camera and the clarity of the images it produces.
  • Pros: Easy to use, Build quality, Screen size
  • Cons: Bulky

  • Summary: Very easy to use. The guide is also a good teaching tool. Have used it to shoot both hi-speed ie Pacific gulls in flight along with portraits. Good entry level DSLR. You might want to buy the 18 - 105mm lense to add to your kit along with a speedlight flash.
  • Pros: Easy to use, Build quality, Battery life

  • Pros: High Resolution, Guide Mode, Range of different camera modes, Ability to edit images in camera

Does a sufficient job

  • Summary: I've been a pro photographer for very many years (over 40) and very much love digital cameras which perform far better than the old 35mm film cameras. I've owned a few Nikon digital cameras; D50, D80, D300S, D5100 and currently a D3100.
