Summary: This is my first SLR & I am very happy with it so far. I haven't completely mastered it yet but on automatic setting I am getting some wonderful results. The camera is easy to use, light & well made. My only reservation is that there is no cable with the camera to transfer photos directly to my Apple Notebook.
Summary: My camera is my favourite possession. It's something I wanted for a long time, and now I feel lost when I leave the house without it. It's easy to use, and the pictures it takes always look gorgeous and professional. It's also pretty tough - the first thing my mum did when she had a look at it was drop the lens - it bounced, but didn't break! Of course, now I'm much more careful, and I don't let anyone hold it without putting the strap around their neck first!
Summary: When i purchased this camera i was very new to the features of DSLR camera's but the D3100 made my learning very easy and fuss free. it has all the features a budding photographer could need and the ease of use for a casual snapper to achieve beautiful quality photo's and video's. It adapts to people who want to point and shoot or a professional who wants to tinker with all of the settings through a no fuss button layout.
Summary: Once you get going it is as simple as point and click. i am sure there are plenty of chances for the technical folk to experiment. Good quality and value for money. i have limited experience but I can still get a good result with this camera.
Pros: Easy to use, Compact, Build quality, Screen size
Summary: For my first SLR i love it. that picture quality is fairly good although some are a bit pixelated. overall as a whoel a good investment for a started camera and with more training and better lenses it will be a wodnerful tool to have
Summary: Not bad to get DSLR round about 1000$. So far no problem. But sometimes feel bulky with long FL lens. Reasonal battery life. For image quality, as I haven't use other DSLRs, I don't know. But better than my portable one IXUS 100 though it is not suitable to compare. I never feel regretful to have Nikon.
Summary: Came as a bundle with interchangeable lenses. Good price and quality for entry level digital SLR. Hard to use depth of field on this model and inbuilt flash is poor (not diffuse enough) Lenses good, focus good.
