Summary: We like the camera (D3100) which is an entry level DSLR. The quality is great and it is fairly easy to use. Some functions have not been as easy to figure out but we will continue to study the manual.

Although this camera provides all the features expected of a DSLR camera, it is fairly light for its size which means that it is not heavy to carry...
Pros: High Resolution, Guide Mode, Range of different camera modes, Ability to edit images in camera
Summary: I'm very happy with this camera. It takes good clear images, even in low light. It's relatively easy to learn to use. However, don't buy it for its video function - doesn't produce good videos at all.
Summary: This Nikon is more than a beginners camera. Apart from clear shots it produces the HD movie is great. You can either point and shoot or be creative with the settings, either way you wont be disappointed.
Excerpt: Nikon D3100 SLR digital camera ~~Basics~~ We have owned this camera for about 1 year and have been more than happy with the ease of use, picture quality and general durability. The camera came with a rechargeable battery pack and holds its charge for 4 to 5 hours of constant use.
Summary: Being the fifth Nikon we have purchased over time, this one has refined the usability of the model it replaced, the D60. The 3100 gets a high quality camera with two great lenses for under a $1000.
