Summary: I wrote on my first review that my camera bag had a broken strap. Vendor refunded me for the bag AND sent me a new one. I am very grateful for the service from them. I am enjoying the camera but haven't been able to figure everything out about it. Am taking a class to better understand it. I recommend this vendor.
Summary: I knew about the camera before I purchased it. My mom owns one. The camera itself is amazing. However, the accessories lack quality. The zoom lens works just fine and has amazing range for the price. The card is a lower end brand but is all you'll need unless trying to get the best you can out of the 1080 video feature of the camera. The bag is okay but one of the clips that hold it shut broke rather easy, so be easy on it.
Summary: This is a review for the bundle rather than the camera. I was on the fence about whether to get the D3100 from Target or Amazon. I am so glad I got it from Amazon. This bundle saved me so much money in the long run. The bundle included a tri pod (in a carrying case!), the camera, a 16 gb memory card, a memory card wallet, camera case, screen protectors, and camera charger. The case looks great! Cases comparable are around $30 so I already saved money there.
Summary: Camera is awesome. I've had a few issues with the memory card, but I was using my camera for about an hour outside in 30-40 degree weather. Other than that, no problems with anything. The tripod is okay, nothing special - it gets the job done. The bag is decent as well containing enough room for an extra lens, extra battery, the camera itself; it also has many zippered compartments. Overall it's a great packaged deal for the price.
Summary: its almost been a month since i bought this camera and i love it. took great, clear photos with it from the beginning. easier to use than some other dlsr i have used. you just have to know your setting on the camera to get the right photo you want. the thing i hate is the auto focus, which can be turned off, and sometimes blurry pictures. i also hate the flash. you have to always turn it off on the menu if you're in another setting other than the off flash.
Summary: This is my first time buying a Digital SLR. I have mainly used point and shoot cameras in the past and have always had fun taking pictures. I wanted to start digital photography as a hobby so I decided to buy a nicer camera. After reading many reviews and comparisons I decided on this camera as it is the update to the Nikon D3000 that a friend of mine has. They love their camera so I figured this was a good choice.
Excerpt: I generally use this product for outdoor photography. The basic lens that you obtain is great but the key drawback of the camera is it doesn't have an internal image stabilization which cameras like Sony alpha series do. The benefit of having an internal image stabilization is the benefit of buying cheaper lens. Lenses with VR tend to be more expensive than ones without it. The video quality is great and the autofocus works well.
Pros: Easy To Use, Fast / Accurate Auto-Focus, Good Image Quality
