Excerpt: This camera rocks! My wonderful husband surprised me by having it sitting under the tree at Christmas, and I was so thrilled! He purchased this one as a replacement/upgrade for my older, less expensive model, the D3000. The D3000 was the predecessor to the D3100. I enjoyed learning and practicing on the D3000, because that was my first DSLR, and it was a very simple camera with a beginner’s “guide mode” and would lead you through the steps to get the picture you...
Excerpt: Before I acquired Nikon D3100 Digital Camera, I usually envied my friends who has this device because they could take a very clear shot images of anything and any place they want. This made me challenged to earn money to also purchase this device. When I unboxed my D3100 Camera, it came together with a black shoulder strap, rechargeable battery, 18 to 55 millimeter lens, and other useful accessories.
Excerpt: The Nikon D3100 DSLR camera gets a rating of 9 out of 10 in my opinion. I love this camera and there is so many different factors to review so I am going to divide them into the following sections: ease of use, price, photo quality, and video quality. As far as ease of use goes, this camera gets very high ratings from me because it is incredibly easy to handle and operate even though it is such a high tech piece of equipment.
Summary: I'm still studying the manual but it's user-friendly. I capture beautiful pictures right after I got it! So happy to have this and I will recommend this to someone who wants to own DSLR for the first time,
Summary: My previous camera was Nikon D70s 6megapixel camera. this is a great upgrade. I had the d70s for years and it was a workhorse but sold it when i wasn't doing so much photography anymore. Then i worked professionally in a studio using the Nikon d200 and others. I then purchased a Canon 60d for 1400 dollars. WHAT A NIGHTMARE THE CANON WAS. it was heavy. it was bulky. it was expensive. i hated shooting with it and had horrible colors compared to Nikon.
Summary: This camera package really was a good buy. I was disappointed that the transfer to computer cable was not included. I also purchased the "optional" lens hood for the 18-55mm lens which I thought should have been included. Aside from that, it's a great camera.
Summary: This is my first DLSR camera and I was impressed on how easy it was to take excellent pictures and video with it. It's very easy to use and I do need practice when shooting video with this camera when zooming in on my subject. It's light in weight and fun to use.
