Summary: Camera was black in view finder & had shutter error at first. It started working but ERR would randomly flash on the screen. The few pictures I took had good crisp detail & color but I don't have confidence in the quality any longer and will return. This was refurbished.
Summary: While there was nothing deceptive in the description of the camera, being a camera novice, I did not understand that it did not even come with the most basic of lenses. Meaning the camera I bought was unusable without purchasing a separate lens.
Summary: I received my camera / 6 piece bundle three weeks ago. I found the first problem after unpacking everything - the "6 piece" bundle was actually five pieces because the box was missing the 8GB SD Card.
Summary: I bought this camera to keep my wife from mistreating my camera. It has limited lens compatibility. The kit lens does work. The programming choices are ok. It does what it wa supposed to do do, protect my camera. I has a lot of noise
Summary: I bought this camera after taking in consideration all the other brands in the same entry level DSLRs ill resume the pros and cons of the camera. Pros: -Very cheap -great lens in the kit -great picture quality -Fast focus -Small Cons: -NOISE is nasty after ISO 400, afecting lowlight conditions...
Summary: I bought the Nikon D3000 body to use with a 50mm 1.8D Nikkor AF lens because I expected to get better pictures in low light with the 1.8. I was unpleasantly surprised to learn that the 1.8, which is labeled an autofocus lens, will not autofocus on the D3000 body because the D3000 does not have a...
Summary: I was new to dSLR world and after a lot of research, got myself a Nikon D3000. Nikon vs Canon was a very easy choice and I thought D3000 was way better than Canon Rebel XS due to more AF points, guide mode etc. to name a few features. D3000 was good but somehow it lacked in low light photography.
Buy the D5000 instead, I have owned both D3000 & D5000

Summary: The D3000 is pretty cheap, but I have owned both the D3000 and the D5000 (after returning the D3000) and I can safely say that the image quality is far superior on the D5000 in low light especially. I was amazed at the quality difference..
Summary: I bought this camera when it first came out over a month ago and I have been using it quite a bit. It replaces my old D50 which I gave to my son. I really like how small and light the camera is. It is easy to use and I am happy to have a VR lens.
