Summary: The Nikon D3 is really a pro camera body. Pro in terms of performance, durability and ease of use. I particularly like the built-in grip and the ISO button that is conveniently located within reach of my thumb. The only con is the weight but I can live with that.
Summary: It is sharp and exact which is why I buy Nikon. It takes perfect pictures every time. It is fast and reliable great for shooting wedding and sporting events. The extra long battery life makes it a winner.
I've got the Reining champion of 35 mm cameras; the D3!

Summary: I've owned the D3 (seems like forever?). Love springs eternally. Noise upon shutter release has not affected my results. I'm far away with the appropriate lens. I shoot fast action sports and environmental portraits. Feels as though the camera were made for my hands. We make a great team. Has a fantastically solid feel. The camera is the star of shooters at my sporting events. Have used in all sorts of non-perfect weather with outstanding results.
Summary: By far the best camera I've ever had. Excellent Features, Fast Focusing. Great qaulity pictures, does everything I needed to do. Great low light photography & excellent camera for the money. Just love it.
Another level, breaks the boundries held by lesser cameras

Summary: I am a professional wedding and portrait photographer. We started with medium format film cameras and progressed to the Fuji S2, Nikon D200, D300, D300s and now the D3. We have been using the D300's for quiet a while and they have served well. I bought the D3 only for the high ISO capability but I had no idea how much better this camera is. The focus system is much faster and much more accurate.
Nikon d3 is no doubt a very good camera. You will not be disappointed.

Summary: Well, I work with a professional photographer, and he's kind enough to use his equipment all the time. D3 is the one I shoot with most of the time, and I swear to you, this is one of the best camera money can buy. Keep in mind, this is build for high speed photography, aka sports. What makes it "high speed"? It is the combination of focusing speed+accuracy and frames per second (FPS).
Summary: was looking to upgrade from my D2x and this is defiantly an upgrade. simple menu , great shooting and easy downloading makes this a great camera. it is a little heavy but that is an easy trade off for the picture quality. overall a great camera.
