A Queston of Value

S. L. Miller, Amazon
15 June 2007
  • Summary: Very few people are going to give an accurate review of the new Nikon D200, but I'm going to try. I'm NOT going to review the D200 on its own. That's not realistic or representative of how shoppers will seek out this camera. At such a high price, most buyers will have experience with digital cameras and DSLRs and be matching the D200 against other models. This review examines the new Nikon in that regard. IF you are actually thinking of this as a FIRST DSLR, please STOP.

NIKON D200 LAMINATED REFERENCE CARD

Kenneth C. Rogers, Amazon
6 May 2007
  • Summary: The card tries to include too much information in a very tiny format. A more selective choice of topics and print in much larger sizes would make the card much more useful for field work. I don't carry it with me in the field because it is so hard to read and so cluttered. I wouldn't have purchased it if I had had a chance to examine it first.

Not a bad effort, but could be better

D. Hendrick, Amazon
18 February 2007
  • Summary: I love "cheat sheets" and knew that I would need something like this to get facile with my new D200. It is not a bad effort, but could be better, especially in helping decide settings for different photo situations. As it is, this card is more like a color-coded index of the different items in the menus. Useful, yes. But nothing that will help you master the camera settings.

The seller was great

Nicola, Amazon
9 March 2013
  • Summary: The seller was lovely and delivery was swift. my only problem was with the camera. It hasn't served me too well while it has been in my possession. As a professional I found it disappointing. quality is not up to scratch and sometimes needs time to "think" before it take a photo.

D200...Great but not perfect

Digital Camera Magazine
23 November 2006
  • Summary: I use a D200 for work. It is a very sound performer and is capable of yielding top quality images, on a par with most other digital SLR's. Image quality is subjective and very much depends on the optic you use to fill the hole at the front. However, I have found that the top LCD plate is prone to getting water underneath the glass, even when covered up quickly during the briefest of showers.
