Summary: Great camera. Incredibly versatile. Would not recommend it for anyone that is a digital camera neophyte and became very familiar with the camera's capabilities before using it. I had a Nikon 8000 before this and was really impressed with how incredible the photos turned out in auto mode. I have owned Nikons since the early 70s. I took the camera to my daughter's grad school graduation without really becoming familiar with the way it worked mechanically.
Highly user-friendly with great low-light performance

Summary: If you look for the most feature-packed point and shoot, this one is not for you. It does not have touch screen or raw file. The video quality, according to some website reviews, is not as good as those in Sony and Panasonic. In my view they are all not important. I wonder how often people need raw file in point and shoot camera. This camera's video is already 1080. My Nexus 5 also has video. What more do we need? It does have wi-fi and GPS. I don't use both either.
Summary: I bought this to replace a powershot Canon. This Nikon has many features that I haven't figured out yet, but give me time. Takes great pictures in the Auto mode, nice and easy. the only thing that i don't like about it is that if you are holding the camera like normal and hit to take the picture and the flash needs to come up, your finger is in the way, move finger, reset to take photo. all in all, i am happy with it. Great ZOOM!!!!
Summary: Its an alright camera, I'm still getting used to using it since I have been using a DSLR for the past 5 years. I feel like the flash is going to break off with how harshly it opens so I tend not to use it if I don't need to, which most of the time I don't need to. The video recording is nice, smooth, HD, microphone picks up nicely. The autofocusing can be a little slow at times, but other than that its fine.
Summary: It's a great camera. 30x zoom is fantastic. The flash which pops up where I would normally be holding the camera, however I'm getting used to it and the flash part is a bit flimsy, so one needs to be careful. However, I had read a previous comment about the flash and it did deter not deter me and still would not deter me in buying this camera. My previous camera was the Nikon Coolpix S6200 with a 10X zoom. It was a great camera too until I dropped it.
Summary: All in all a better product that has become even better in this design. Each time they have made it better than the previous version. The mechanism for going from wide angle to a telephoto has been upgraded so that it works smoothly, from one stop to the ultimate telephoto - unlike my old four year old Coolpix s620 where I have to jimmy the darned thing back and forth and still not get the framing correct.
