Summary: I just started using the Nikon COOLPIX S9700 - and, am very happy with the camera, features and photos so far. It's slightly bigger than some of the small compact cameras - but it's very light and still a good portable/compact size (and I love the color).

There are many options for setting exposure, typical of mid-priced digital cameras, but image stabilization and a very powerful 30x telephoto were...
Summary: Love the size of the camera. So light! Perfect for travel. Though more advanced, it's a perfect point and shoot. Not great in low light but use the flashlight app on your cell phone and you'll be good. Love it.
Excerpt: I bought one of these in November 2014 as replacement for my old Panasonic Lumix TZ10, which has a scratched lens. I'd used the Lumix as my pocketable camera for several years and liked its easy handling and image quality (colours and sharpness).
Summary: First Nikon Point and shoot camera and it takes stunning photos. The bells and whistles are way beyond what I expected but knew this before buying, research it. No software cd on the only bummer but you can download from Nikon. This was a factory refurb but it looks and acts new. Quite pleased.
