Excerpt: I am back with a new camera for reviewing. This time I will be reviewing the Nikon Coolpix S8100. I received this camera as a gift from a friend of mine that accidentally broke my previous camera which was a Kodak. Firstly I have to mention that the Nikon Coolpix S8100 is a point and shoot camera .
Excerpt: I purchased this camera last week because I am going to be living in London from Jan. to June and I plan to travel Europe while I am there. This camera was not my first choice(a Canon) however after looking at several different cameras at 5 different stores I decided to go with this one. The pictures are great and the cameras battery life is better than expected(my old sony used AA which lasted maybe 30 pictures) in fact the battery lasted more than 3 hours.
Excerpt: I received this camera from myself just this last weekend as an early birthday present from a husband who hasn't had the time away from work (we live in a ridiculously small town) to do the shopping himself. I'd done a lot of research on cameras. I wanted something small enough for my purse, with a decent zoom. This camera is the best out there for those two qualities! In fact, it has the best zoom for it's size on the market! I had to have it!
Excerpt: After researching compact digital cameras that did not cost an arm and a leg and produced an excellent picture fast, I chose the Nikon S8100. It had all the features I was looking for-fast shutter speed, video recording, stabilization, ability to edit immediately and good range. The screen is a little smaller than I would like, but that is just a very minor concern.
Excerpt: I will be the first to admit I am NOT a camera gooru. I wanted a camera that would take quick pictures and capture everything, even a blink. This camera has met my expectations and then some. I just wish I had a tutorial that showed me exactly how to use each and every setting on the camera. The manual does show some examples. Maybe I just need to take a class on the camera.
Excerpt: I purchased a Nikon S8100 on Cyber Monday of last year and fell in love. I first tried it out at Walmart while killing some time. I was in the market for a camera, but only wanted to spend $150 maximum. I picked up this camera and immediately it felt didn't then anything I've used before. There was a sturdy feel about the camera, so curious I tried to take some photos. I was amazed at the shutter speed and the picture quality.
Excerpt: There are so many great things about hte Nikon S8100 digital camera, I will try to hit the highlights but if you are into taking pictures, you might just have to pick one of these up for yourself and try it out! This camera is definitely designed for the serious photographer in mind; however, you are not forced to tote along the huge hunker of a camera with this nikon 8100.
Nikon S8100 Camera makes taking pictures SUPER FUN again! A+++++

Excerpt: I got to pick out my birthday present this year and I thought to myself "I am so sick and tired of missing all the really good shots because my crappy camera is too slow, horrible in low light and can't take a macro pic to save its own life". So off we went! My husband is much more camera litterate than I am, I just know a good picture when I see one and when I take one!
Pros: Long Battery life. The Zoom works great and doesn't distort my subject. Movies are high quality in 720 res. Viewing Software is top shelf. Low light pictures are so vivid. Grippy surface is easy to hold.921,000 dot screen is the best of any Ive seen.
Cons: I miss a viewfinder for bright daylight or public events.
"Got on Black Friday. Would buy at original price."

Pros: Everything about the camera. I have fun going outside, and take far away pictures; it amazes me how the pictures turn out even 40-50 feet away. Greet for a football game, vacation,up close or anything really. This is above and beyond what I expected.
