Great product

cbsnurse, Amazon
14 July 2014
  • Summary: This camera is great for me. I have benign familial trembling and this camera freezes the pic and gives me a great picture when other cameras gave me fuzzie pictures because of my tremors.

User Review

Jerry Fisher, DP Review
7 May 2014
  • Excerpt: Not bad in good light.  In low light, not very good. Weak flash. Slow. Soon to be replaced with a V series to serve her needs and mine as a backup to DSLR

Point and shoot with pizazz!

Missoula woodworker, Amazon
24 February 2014
  • Summary: This little camera takes quality pictures and has enough flexibility and features to satisfy most photographers. At times, as the more avid "shooter" in our family, I wish it had a higher zoom, but it's so convenient to carry that my Canon 20-D stays home now more often than not. I do have a gripe with this camera, however. The flash pops up from the top left, a location that seems to beg for a left forefinger when taking a shot.

Broke and did not last long

Shawn Kaplan, Amazon
24 August 2013
  • Summary: I think this is an excellent camera, but after only having it only for a few months it broke on the 5th day of our cruise - not good. They sent a replacement, and overall it's an excellent camra, and now after having it for about two years, it's broken again and has a light clicking sound, and can't take video with the zoom feature because it shakes too much.

Loved it

Amazon Customer, Amazon
8 May 2013
  • Summary: I love this camera. I did a lot of research before I bought it. It was highly rated and true to the reviews. Great quality and the pictures are clear and it has a fast shutter speed to catch my 18mo old son. Only draw back is its not water proof so now I have to get another after dropping it in the ocean. lol. My fault but I will be getting another.

Garbage

dee, Amazon
3 February 2013
  • Summary: This is the second Nikon camera i bought in the past 6 months. The first was the L810, I didn't like that one because my images were getting scrambled when i used the review function so I was pissed but decided to give Nikon a second chance and bought the S8100. owned this camera for roughly 3 months and now its not working I keep getting a lens error and the camera has never been dropped. Sometimes it comes on and won't even show anything on the screen.

Worked great until the telescoping lens broke.

Jesse Paine, Amazon
20 January 2013
  • Summary: Worked great until the telescoping lens broke. The camera turns on easily and was turned on my pocket several times. It doesn't have a pressure release, so it broke in my pocket. However, I am still able to manual telescope the lens. Pictures are of high quality, but the interface is not well designed.

Good Photo Quality

Angie, Amazon
4 January 2013
  • Summary: Camera takes very nice photos. The gold color is perfect. Charge lasts a long time. The only thing I absolutely do not like is the flash. The placement is very awkward. I always end up placing my finger on top it. Otherwise, it's a great camera.
