Summary: Disappointed in this camera. I had used one (S6200) previously which was lower cost and took wonderful pics and video. I thought this camera would be the same or better which it was not. Have tried endlessly to check the settings but just not getting good pics (especially indoors) Also, the video sounds ok with speaking, but when recording some music (singing ect.) the sound was very, very static and just bad.
Summary: This camera did not meet my expectation's at all. It took 3-5 seconds for the flash to go off every time and when it did, the picture turned out not crisp. Being a professional photographer, I love Nikon, but they really pooped the bed with this camera.
Excerpt: I've been using a Nikon DSLR for the past 3 years pretty regularly with a variety of lenses, and shooting environments. With a baby on the way, my wife wanted something easier for her to snap photos/take video of our baby. Being a Nikon fan, I thought this would be a good choice. I may have gotten a bad model, but after taking it on vacation last week, 0 out of about 30 pictures were in focus. Something has to be up with the camera I got, because that can't be...
Pros: Large Clear LCD, Nice Body Color, Small / Compact
Cons: Lag / Shutter Delay, Poor focus, Poor Image Quality
Summary: I do not like having no choice for "SCENE" The auto focus at a distance is terrible. Most recently the flash was operating with no need! The internal member is extremly small. I was trying to replace a lost a COOL PIX S4800 which was a woderful camera. My expectations were not met. I wish I was able to return this camera.

Summary: This was bought for me as a replacement camera when my good 7-year old camera was stolen. My boyfriend got one of these models for myself and one for his daughter for Christmas and both of them refused to focus right out of the box. He returned them for the same model that worked for about a month or 2 (took maybe 100 pictures) and then it started having problems focusing again, but if I shut it off and turned it back on it would work.

Summary: The camera was sent without a memory card. What is the point of sending a camera without a memory card? Consequently, the camera is more expensive than listed on the site. Also, "point and shoot" does not accurately describe using the camera. Instead, a more accurate description would be "point, wait, wait, shoot, no flash, try again, point, wait, wait, shoot, flash.
Summary: Had to have the camera repaired three times in two years. Spend over four months out for service. Paid for extended warranty and had to fight for hours to get service. Living nightmare! Camera was not available for a birthday, an out of the country vacation and for Christmas all in an 18 month period. Would never recommend or purchase another Nikon camera again. Seriously look at the competing brands is you want trouble free usage.
