Summary: ..for such small practical camera but I had the bad luck of getting one that gets the lens stuck. Luckily, I found out that removing-off and on the battery it retrieves the lens back. I tried to return it but I had just missed the date. I am going on a trip to Europe and I hesitate to take this camera with me. I just feel it’s not dependable. If some can recommend me another one I would appreciate it.
Summary: I hardly take photos so I do not have enough experience with this camera to give an accurate opinion. However, I do think that there are too many options on the camera itself, and the function buttons are too small. Also, when I click the button to take a picture there seems to be a delay so unless the subject is a still life the photo has to be redone.
Summary: I bought this for my husband for Fathers day , he has it with him at most times , we farm and he likes to get interesting pictures , but this camera is not anything special , just ok , wished I had looked a little more for a better camera , for the money it is nothing special.
Summary: this is an okay point and shoot camera with a good zoom, but very confusing settings that seem to change on their own. i got this for my wife that is not too good at technical issues. we had a canon that was perfect but this nikon does not replace very well at all. Seemed comparable but isn't. Every time you turn this camera on, you have to go thru the settings to use what you want. it defaults to a setting where there is no flash.
Excerpt: I'm really disapointed with this camera, which shocks me for a Nikon. Very slow to take the next photo, even when the flash is not on. I find it has a hard time focusing when set on "auto" even when something is w/in 10' or so. Is extreamly slow to focus and take the next photo when the flash is on. I've played with this camera for a couple weeks and just do not enjoy it.
Summary: I was SO excited to get a new camera and bought this about 6 months ago. I get consistently blurry pictures and they are worse than my old Fuji 5.2MP camera when they are printed. Great features, looks cool but doesn't get the job done. I keep thinking it is me not knowing how to use the camera but it might be the camera. Had it about 6 months and the delete button no longer pops back up. Disappointing!
Summary: After having a Nikon Coolpix from 2006, I figured it was time for a newer and better camera. So, being very happy with my Nikon I decided on another Coolpix. I received the camera quickly from Amazon and at first I was pleased. It has a decent LCD Screen, decent Zoom, and the color if beautiful. BUT... that all stopped when I went to charge the camera... The thing would not charge!
