Summary: Pros: - Size and design: This compact camera (about the size of a wallet) is perfect for traveling or tailgating. The sling wraps around your wrist and prevents inevitable drops. There is a coating on the camera that provides grip, but it will wear off. - Battery: Battery life is solid. - Photo Quality: Great for a compact camera; I couldn't ask for much more at this price point. The 10x optical zoom is good.
Summary: This camera was a gift for someone who does nit have a smart phone, and his only camera used film...no, I am not joking. I didn't even know they still sold film! ;-) When he opened the present, he absolutely loved the camera. However, he was completely baffled by the concept of a camera without film ( he is 65 ). I honestly did. It expect that kind of reaction, and I didn't want to see the camera sitting in a draw.
Summary: I have had this camera for just about one year and have no complaints. It's great for when you need something a few steps up from your cell phone camera. It's perfect for traveling. I do not have a case for it. I just throw it in my purse and go, and there is no noticeable wear on it. I am not a photographer. I do not use this every day or even every week. It's very easy to use, great for the average person who just wants a camera.
Summary: The camera looks nice, it is compact and light. But the picture quality is not that good. I have compared the Nikon Coolpix S6200 16MP with the Panasonic Lumix 14MP. The Panasonic has a sharp and clear picture; in other word, the 14MP Panasonic produces better pictures.
