Summary: This was bought for my granddaughter at Christmas and she loves the camera but right from the outset she had trouble charging the lithium battery and now it will not charge at all. Having spoken to Nikon there is apparently a problem with this model and they have put an upgrade on their website but you can only download the upgrade if the battery is charged and connected to your pc !!!

The new camera seemed quite an improvement and I was impressed by its various touch screen functions. However, after three weeks it seemed to give up the ghost. Summary: I purchased this camera for a three month trip overseas. It stopped charging the battery within a couple of weeks of me using it. I contacted the seller who told me that it would be dealt with when I came back to the uk after three months. On my return I sent the camera back and have now been informed that I must pay £ 51 for the battery clip which is broken. Incidentally the clip broke after the charging problem first occurred.
