Summary: I was skeptical about buying a used camera but it stated it was in good condition and worked great / included all the original accessories. I took a chance buying the more expensive used camera........ WHAT A MISTAKE !!!!! This camera is HORRIBLE !! The pictures double up .... to review a picture .. the camera says " File contains no image data " ..... yet when I remove my memory card ( SanDick 8GB ) ..... download onto my computer ..... the pictures are there .
Summary: Bought this because I have a NIKON DSLR that I like. Owned this camera for about a year and it stopped working. I barely used it. Sent it to NIKON and they quoted $100 to fix. No thanks. For point and shoot, go Canon! Run from NIKON.

Pros: Still photos in good light and thats being nice
Cons: Very disappointed in shutter speed. Forget about taking photos in medium to low lighting..,.camera will NOT focus. On breezy day forget about taking pictures outdoors...focus sensors very wind sensitive. Forget about taking action shots ie. baseball games
Summary: We owned the camera for one week and it broke. The dial that turns the flash on or off stopped working and the camera was stuck with the flash off. Luckily we bought from Costco and they have a great return policy. We are disappointed.
Summary: This is a camera to avoid. I ended up returning it after it proved useless to take photos. Reasons - QUALITY - for 14mp - the pictures are not very good. when I zoom on a pic a little, I see pixels. I had a 5mp that took far better pics. Many times it took long time to decide to take a photo. I missed many photos I wanted to take.
Summary: I purchased a Nikon S6000 camera today, after reading many favorable reviews. This new Nikon is my second digital camera. My first digital camera was purchased five years ago, a Sony 8 megapixel camera with Carl Zeiss lens. The features of the Nikon S6000 that appealed to me were its size (easily fits into a shirt pocket), resolution (14.2 megapixels), and imaging capability (Nikkor SD lens).
Summary: Just returned this camera after giving it 6 weeks in a variety of situations and setting. If you shoot still life, this is probably a good camera. I teach preschool and need a quick shutter speed and a camera that's ready to reshoot in an instant. This one isn't it. The pictures seem soft, outdoors was ok but the camera is not ready quickly for a second shot. And kids move quickly.
