Excerpt: I recieved this camera as a gift and thank god I did because I wouldn't have paid 200-300 dollars for this. Mine is red and the style is all clean and nice looking. It comes with this strap to put around your wrist and a little plastic pen that you can use on the screen. I mean when u first start using the camera it is a bit fun and cool because its touch screen.
Summary: I have owned this camera for over 2years and I would say it deserves a 3 star not more, not less. I bought it when it was way overpriced and I was expecting more out of the camera but did not get it. I still get red eye occasionally in the images, despite the red eye reduction being on. It is extremely sensitive to movement by the operator making the images less clear. At night or in low lights, it is only good for close ups.
Summary: This was a used camera and I received it in the mail. The battery would not charge up. I used another nikon charger to see if it was the battery or the charger. It was the charger. I sent the charger back and another was sent to me in the mail. Its not from the original manufaturer (Nikon). The camera has turned out to be ok, but the moral of the story is to pay a the extra $ and get it new, at least when it comes to cameras.
Summary: Within 15 minutes of playing with this camera for the first time, I was ready to send it back. I'm not a professional, but I know a bad picture when I take one. After messing around with ISO settings, white balance, scenes, etc... the pictures still looked grainy. I primarily take indoor photos and the camera can't cut it. It is kind of cute; it's a bit bulky feeling for a slim digital camera and not heavy enough in my opinion.
Summary: I recieved my Nikon Coolpix S60 as it was advertised. Don't have a problem with it yet and hope i won't in the future. The only thing I have a problem with is its pixels. its clear but very pixelated.
Summary: We loved this camera. It's a great size and was great for our trip to Italy. But it slowly died due to the common "lens cover error" that so many are also commenting on. It would do that sometimes and then it got to the point where I can't turn the thing on anymore. We had it for 4 years, so maybe I shouldn't complain. But I am going to spend less money this time, knowing that these things just don't last.
